My cousin was in a single car accident this morning (she hydroplaned and hit a wall at 55). She's okay for the most part, sore back and neck. She posted on fb that those two things were sore.
If one of her friends/relatives doesn't say something to the extent that this is the best her neck will ever feel and she can expect to have pain for the next 30 years. Who does that? It's pretty obvious that my cousin is having a bad day, do you really need to add to that? There should be a stupidity analyzer on fb - much like there should be one on phones after you start drinking.
Re: idiot people on fb
Folks should really think before they open their mouth...it's like how would you feel if this had just happened to you? Would you want people making comments like that? Oy, the lack of thoughtfullness.
How obnoxious.
On a side note, I hope your cousin is doing ok and starts to feel better soon!
I hate when people do that sh!t. I also haaaaate it when people attack new moms/dads on FB - saying stuff like "Oh my gosh, good luck, you'll never sleep again!" or "THe first 6 weeks are the worst, then it gets better."
Honestly, if you don't have something positive say then DON'T is my motto
Ditto!
Ugh, I hate that too. A girl I went to high school with is about to give birth and she handles these comments with more grace than I would. She posted that she was really looking forward to cold beer and someone immediately commented, "Oh no you can't have beer!!!! You're breast feeding and that's not allowed blahblahblah judgejudgejudge."
The girl was like, "Haha, don't worry. I can pump and dump."
Yes, because she got through all 9 months of pregnancy without hearing you shouldn't drink and then breast feed your baby the booze milk.
Code, I'm sure this person is a doctor and knows ALL ABOUT your cousin's injury. Right?
No?
