I did it! Oh my goodness, swimming was hard! The rest was fun. Seriously, keep in mind I've been swimming for 2 weeks, that's it. I was last in my heat to come in from the water. Absolutely pathetic, wanted to die. But I did a quick transition to the bike. I picked up my pace 1 mph faster than I have been in the gym, so very proud of that. And I did the run about 3mph faster than I have been on the treadmill (I walk and run since I have bad knees). Overall, I did it in 1:26:19!!! My goal was 2:15! More than 45 minutes faster than my goal!! Pics are accidentally in reverse, but they're of (1) my trainer, myself, my friend and her friend, (2) me and my friend finishing the run, and (3) me nearing the end of the bike. I LOVED the bike portion!

Congrats on finishing AND on an excellent time!
Too bad there wasn't some sort of Cali/Texas tri-relay we could sign up for. I could swim all day long, but I HATED the stupid run. The bike wouldn't have been so dreadful if I hadn't ridden six miles (yes, six miles) without realizing my back brake was stuck. No wonder it was so hard :P
Congrats!
And I think I've been perusing the nest/bump too much because I didn't know why you would be through your first trimester when you weren't even pregnant!
LOL, that is hilarious! I guess I should remember the audience when abbreviating things.

Well, I am really slow at swimming so I thought it might take me upwards of 15 minutes to do the swimming. It took 13.
Also, I guesstimated that 11 miles of biking would take me an hour. It took 45 minutes. There were hills, but less than when I ride in the gym, I guess, so my mph was better than expected. I had planned to run/walk the 2 mile run, and that had been averaging me 30 minutes at the gym. It took me 22 minutes. So my guess was 2 hours plus transition time. I generously guessed 15 minutes because I thought I would need to take a breather. My transition times were only 6 minutes total. So I get 1:26 instead of 2:15.
I got a nice dinner last night. I was too tired for anything else!

I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.

Ditto!
So awesome Leigha! Doing a tri is on my bucket list.
I love swimming and biking but am a sucky long distance runner, that's what's keeping me from pursuing it I think.
