hello ladies... i have only been able to pop on briefly over the last week b/c i have been visiting my SIL and helping her celebrate her master's degree
seems like i have missed a lot in the last few days
looks like i win the prize for longest married nestie on this board!!!
we've been married since Sept 9, 2005
for those who are on the fence about TTC i would highly recommend taking some time for yourself to enjoy your marriage before having a baby.... we were married 4 yrs before having A and i think it was good for us (esp since we love to travel). of course you have to do what is right for you and for some, sooner after marriage is better, but just sayin' that no one should feel pressured into it just b/c it seems like everybody and their mother is having kids right now! ![]()
lisa, thanks for the FB privacy info, i hate that FB seems to default everything to no privacy like that w/o telling you. i adore your new siggy pic. it is priceless
congrats to sujen on the new job!! i knew you'd get it ![]()
heather - i am glad that things are going better for you and will echo the other ladies who said not to feel bad if you aren't able to BF. you are not a bad mom if you don't BF. that said, i would encourage you to try to give it 4-5 weeks if you can b/c i can tell you that there was not a single day that went by where i did not want to give up on BFing during that first month. please feel free to email me if you have questions or want to vent, i would love to help you in any way i can.
lori i hope you are able to sell your KA mixer
that color is super cute but you just have to find someone looking for that one...i think if you are patient you can find a buyer...i would maybe list at $240 first and then see if you get any takers in a month and then lower it if you don't...
alyson - my favorite kind of pie is apple crumb pie!! and i am not a big fan of most meringue type pies!
and i don't really want to rehash what seems to be the "to leave or not to leave" topic of moving to the bump that seems to come up every so often... suffice it to say that i hope we can all continue to post on this board and everyone can feel at home here, whether they have BOTB or not. i always try to post both BR and non BR posts whenever possible and want everyone to feel comfortable here regardless of their life stage.
i haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts but that's all i have the time for right now, as i am still here a few more days with my SIL....
Re: hello :)
Hope you have a great time with your SIL (did I meet her at a DC GTG?)!
I want to know how the travel is going with A! I hope she's having a good time as well
Hi Jaime! I just want to say this is the most awesome post ever! Basically recapped our entire week on the board in one post.
Hope you're having a great time...I'd love to hear your travel tips for making it work with a baby....we're flying to CA in August and Libby will be just about 7 months old then.

THanks for the re-cap because I've been SUPER busy and haven't had time to catch up on posts. I had a friend in town and now I'm back to work... and wishing I was a SAHM!
We're currently on the hunt for a family friendly vacation with B this summer. I don't want to drive more than a couple hours away or fly more htan 3 hours away... any ideas?
wow you have a great memory! yes this is the SIL that you met in DC
our travels out here weren't too bad... i'll post later about our travels home after we get back, hope it goes smoothly too
