Wednesday Randoms

So I am bouncing of the walls even though I am tired as heck. How is everyone today? We have a rep coming in with Panera for us for lunch. Ymmmm.

Re: Wednesday Randoms

  • Mmm I love Panera.

Ben and I are sick - I sound like a man and have a bad cough, and Ben has been running a high fever since he woke up yesterday morning.  It's gorgeous outside and we can't even enjoy it.

  • I love Panera, too!

Sorry to hear about your and Ben's colds, Freeburger.

I might have to sit out on the deck with my nook and a glass of wine tonight.  My H has his last class tonight.  I'm going to miss my sweet freedom on Wednesday nights.

  • My randoms:

One of the attorneys (a 60-year-old male) who I work for called me "mom" this morning.  Uh.... WTF?  Indifferent

I bought a chicken salad croissant for lunch from the deli downstairs.  I don't like it though.  The chicken salad has something weird in it, I think.  But I'm eating it anyway because a) I paid money for it, and b) I'm hungry.

  • Freeburger, I hope you and Ben feel better soon!
  • I'm feeling overwhelmed.  Mostly because I keep adding things to my to-do list and not getting anything done.

However, I have attacked one or two items and it feels good.  I now feel like I have a ball rolling!

Was it an accident?  I know I called teachers "mom" at least a couple of times when I was in school because I had spaced out or something.  It is weird, though.

    Apples?  Grapes?  Walnuts?

No, it wasn't an accident.  I think he was implying that I was being bossy because I was "making" him do something (a photo shoot) that he doesn't want to do.

Nope, nothing that I could distinguish.  I think it must have been a spice of some sort.  I have no idea.

Ha!  That's kind of funny and really immature.  You should write a book about your experiences at The Firm.  Smile

Oh boy! I need to go hang out by your office! LOL!

I've got the chicken salad from downstairs and it was super salty. Today I got a Philly Cheese Steak from there. Not the best for sure.

It kind of weirded me out.  I told my husband and his response was, "At least he didn't call you grandma."  Hehe... very true.

Hehe, I don't think he would have said that to my face.  It was via email.

  • The lady I care for, who has Alzhiemers and is Catholic, noticed I have a tattoo. Teasing her, I asked if she had one. She said "not yet". She makes me laugh :)

  • I have been spending my afternoon dreaming of remodeling my condo.  I've been looking at cabinets, hardware, lighting.  Luckily it is all *sort of* work related for me.

My husband has suddenly gotten in the habit of saying "cripes" as an exclamation to express shock, amazement or frustration. For some reason, this is driving me absolutely nuts.

XN is not old enough to use that term. It's an old man term. LOL!

That's what I thought! I have no idea where it came from. It's like one day he woke up and his brain was re-programmed with a different vocabulary. One of an old man's, apparently.
