It's 82 effing degrees in my office.

Angry

I'm about to leave.  This is ridiculous.

Re: It's 82 effing degrees in my office.

  • 82 degrees by the thermostat that is near windows and doors.  Back by me it is probably 87.  This is not cool.
  • ugh.  do you have a fan?

My office is always so cold, but I thik I would rather have that than have it be to hot!

  • OMG, that sucks.  Unacceptable working conditions.

That is what I was thinking.

I NEVER complain, but today I emailed my boss asking when the air was being turned on because it was getting extremely uncomfortable back in my corner.  Not cool.

    Yeah - he didn't really care...ha.

  • With the doors propped open and the windows open, the temperature is now 83 degrees.  Sweet, it went up.

You should just strip down to an inappropriately low level of clothing.  He'd care then.  ;)

If I wasn't fat, I would totally do this.

  • That happened in my office back in April before the chillers were turned on for the building.  It was either 84 or 87 degrees in our office that day, and we don't have windows that open.  It was awful.  I was walking around in a tank top, and I didn't even care.  My underwear was soaked (sorry, TMI, but true) from being so hot and my feet and ankles swelled up like rising bread.  Not exactly acceptable working conditions to begin with, let alone when you're pregnant.  I was pissed basically b/c it was causing my body to swell, and that's not a good thing.  I feel your pain.
