I'm pretty sure that the 2.5 hours is all finale. There's a 2 hour retrospective before the finale. (And they're also airing the pilot on May 22.)

I think because there were two of them. I don't think Jacob had picked a Kwon to be a candidate, I think both were because he figured one of them could go back and take care of her.
I think the concert is the same one that David is playing at... the same one that Miles is going to at his dad's museum. Maybe Faraday will be playing there too.
Juliet has to be David's mom, right? I mean, there's no other option.

Yeah, it would be a real cop out for it to turn out to be some random woman. Fans would riot.
He can't be dead right? I mean, why spend allllll that time on him just to have him go out like that? I thought that smokey gave him eternal life? And if he is dead, do we not get to see him reunite with his wife?
I def think that everyone will end up at the same concert. Kate will be there with Desmond who will have invited Penny there; Jack will be there with his son and Claire; Miles is going and Charlotte will be there (Sawyer must end up going with Miles) and Faraday will probably be there too; who ever is Jack's sons mom will be there; and I am sure Hurley, his girl (can't remember her name) and Sayid will end up there too. I am guessing that somehow Jin and Sun end up there also.
But will Ben and Locke be there? Is Ben now bad again, or is he posing for smokey? It did not surprise me that Ben killed Widmore after all their bad blood, but it did surprise me that he seems to have joined up with smokey. Why would Widmore just hide in a closet? Seems dumb to me. I don't like how they are killing people off so easily these days.
OK, so Jack ends up being "the one" but I really did surprise me that Sawyer and Kate did not stand up with him or back him up in any way. And what was up with Hurley saying he was glad it wasn't him??
And how is it that burning the ashes makes Jacob disappear for good? Aren't burnt ashes just smaller ashes.....?
This is getting long so I will just say that I cannot wait until Sunday!!
I noticed that all of their flash sideways (?) lives are ending up better/happier than their past.
Agreed on the Concert!! I think this is Desmond's role as the "fail safe" coming into play on the Other timeline. He's executing his fail safeness by bringing everyone together... but how are they going to play THAT one out? Is it an alternate consciousness thing, since Jack seemed to have random cuts on himself? Was that the other timeline bleeding through?
Also agree on the Richard getting killed that way being pretty much a cop out. I'm hoping we get more info on that but..unlikely.
On Jack volunteering - he's always been the one insisting on going back, so I'm not all that surprised. Kate wants to go back to Aaron and Jin/Sun's daughter, and I'd imagine Sawyer and Hurley just want to go back to their lives or something - but just not be on the island dealing with its crap anymore. Maybe that'll give them the better/happier lives in their futures.
I have to say, I did like Jacob's explanation on why he chose all of them. I can't wait til the finale, either!

I wondered if Desmond was taking on Jacob's role (or helping him or something) in the flash sideways. He's getting everyone that needs to be on the island to realize it - or something.
I was also disappointed w/ the Richard scene. But I also didn't think he was dead - maybe just knocked unconcious.
Also - do you think when Jack drank the special water from Jacob, he got some magical knowledge about the island and the light? Jacob said the same thing to him that his mother had said. Just wondering.
I just rewatched the Richard scene... looks like he just got tossed out of the way (albeit very forcefully). I'm sure Guyliner is fine.

Kate's name was crossed out because she became a mother. So, the Kwon was for Jin--even though he's a parent, he's not a mom. He would've still been a "candidate" if he hadn't chosen to stay with Sun when she was trapped on the sub.

ETA 2: I don't think Jack is actually the new Jacob. Isn't there some rule about how the person has to be chosen, they can't volunteer? I agree with whoever suggested that Desmond is taking on Jacob's role in the sideways world by bringing everyone together, and I think Desmond will end up being the new Jabob (if anyone is).
