Anniversary Dinner suggestions
I'm trying to decide where DH and I should go for our upcoming anniversary.Dh is a very meat and potatoes guy so that rules out many of the places I'd like to try.
In the past we have done, Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Balthazar Cookshop.
Location doesn't matter.

BLT Fish - great food and the roof opens up to the night sky

Scalini Fedeli - super romantic italian restaurant, ends with long stem strawberries and cream
Momofuku Ko - for something funkier
EDIT: Whoops, missed the meat and potatos part...hmm...pp's BLT Steak is great. Wolfgang's is our favorite steak restaurant in the city....Craft....or maybe Perilla?
I can't recommend Rock Center Cafe enough! The *best* prime rib i've ever had!!
If you want more romantic and a bit different food, DH and i have done One if by Land for 2 of our anniversary dinners.

Not fancy- but yummy Les Halles (Anthony Bourdain's former restaraunt). Really good steak.
For super fancy I like The Modern. Not exactly meat and potatoes though.
the strip house on 12th street - meat and potatoes with a twist (goose fat potatoes, herby frites) and the steak is some of the best i've had.
either of the cookshop sisters restaurants - hundred acres and five points have great steaks

DH and I went there for my birthday and you can get this huge, delicious steak for 2. It was so good and we had plenty of leftovers.
