patio furniture

What do you have, where did you get it, and do you like it?  Oh, and where do you store it during the winter?

Re: patio furniture

  • Lowe's! And yes we like it.

If we lived there, we'd store it in our storage unit in the basement. The basement is where IL's store theirs in the winter months. If you have a big yard, you could get a small shed and paint it nicely to use as storage.

We don't have any patio/deck furniture yet. We went to look for 2 comfy chairs for our deck but everything was either too expensive, didn't come in singles or doubles, or wasn't the right style. We looked at Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Sears, and JC Penney. Those places did have more large patio sets though. HD, Lowes, and Sears seem to have the best varieties.

My aunt and uncle have a metal frame patio set that they leave outside (covered) in the winter and just bring in the cushions.

I was at Roch Brothers the other day and they had some decently priced patio furniture.

We have cheap chairs from KMart since we're in a townhouse and don't have a lot of room.

  • our patio table and chairs is martha stewart, i believe, from kmart, my mom gave it to us. it's great.

our cabana and comfy chairs are from home depot, love them. we bought them in july for wicked cheap 2 years ago. canopy comes down in winter, but frame stays.

all patio furniture is stored in garage from october to april/may

  • We had to get rid of it when we moved from a house to an apartment- but we got our patio set at Home Depot.  It's been re-branded to Martha Stewart now, but it's a glass table and fabric-support chairs that you buy individually.  A little pricey, but it was the ONLY thing we liked.  And since the chairs were wire framed with fabric supports (think lawn chair), they didn't hold water, so we just left them outside all winter.

We have a little couch with green cushions, we got it at Kohl's last year, I really like it because I can stretch out on it if I want to. I bought throw pillows for it at Christmas Tree Shop. And we don't have anywhere to store it so it sat outside through the winter, it's still in great shape though.
  • I got mine at Seasons Four in Lexington.  We usually cover it and leave it on the deck for the winter.   Last year DH decided he wanted to bring it down to the basement so it would be easier for him to shovel the deck
  • We got ours at Sears, and love it.  We store it in the garage during the winter.
