That's about all I have to say. I'm so glad I took today off work. Next week is the last week of school for the kids and it will be crazy. As an administrative support person I'm there all year, but I'm actually looking forward to the summer because that means 8am-4pm instead of 8am-5pm. Why did I need the day off, you ask? The people I work with are getting a little cranky because work is so hectic and I just couldn't deal with it anymore.
What to do with my day off. I'll visit with my Mom for awhile, go to the library, and possibly go to the track to watch practice with MH. All-in-all it should be a pretty good day.
What do you like to do when you take the day off work?
Re: Thank goodness...
People can take a day off from work??? CRAZY!
I don't get a chance to just play hookey. My cells and mice don't let me. My days off have to be painstakingly calculated.
Because my moods vary from day to do, what I like to do on days off can be summed up by saying "Whatever the hell I want."
Sometimes it's vegging on the couch all day watching Netflix. Sometimes is getting my nails done, or shopping. I usually just let my spontaneous self tell me what to do.
When the weather is nice I find a girlfriend of mine that is working and then take them to lunch on a patio and enjoy a margarita together. If I dont do that I treat myself to a mani/pedi, crank up the music dance around singing like im a rockstar, or play with my dog. Whatever I feel like doing really. Heck if there is enough time in the day I might just do all of the above
I'm sure no one is surprised but this, but knitting. I love to curl up on the couch in my pjs with our kitties, spread a big complicated project out all over the couch and catch up on Netflix.
I've got tomorrow afternoon off and a sweater I'm dying to finish

If it makes you feel any better, I usually use any week days off for laundry, cleaning, and errand running. That way I don't have to do it on the weekend.
Thanks for the attempt, but I would love a day off for cleaning and laundry... God I'm lame.
