I've been on Ortho tri-cyclen (3yrs) and then Ortho-cyclen(5yrs) and I'm wondering if there's anybody else who's taken in particular the Ortho-cyclen? I've been fine on it but in the past year I've noticed a substantial decrease in libido
Nothing else in my life is really different so this is the only reason I can think of. Just wondering if i'm alone on this.
P.S. I did google it, but you know how googling goes....the people who write the reviews are all the people who hated it, nobody who had positive experiences...
Thanks.

Re: Anyone on Ortho-cyclen?
Not sure if this will help - I was on Ortho-tricyclen for a year, then tricyclen-lo for a year, no libido loss at all - in fact i had the most sex of my single life on those pills. BUT i spotted a lot, almost all the time (lucky me the guys weren't grossed out about that.. yes guys.. i was single and a hor). I'm on Trycyclen now and have wicked periods, but i have noticed a dip in libido..
It effects every diferently base on how much hormones your body is producing on its own and how that mixes with the amount in the pill. It's not often women have all the same side effects on the same pill.
HTH - Maybe go back to the Tri pills.. Triphasil was awesome for me too.
Thanks for the posts ladies. I guess just being on the same pill for a few years coupled with my body changing as I get older is contributing to some new side affects. :-/ Just sucks cause other than this one thing, the rest of is great - clearer skin, on cramping or back ache etc like I used to get. Oh well. We're thinking of TTC next year anyway, so I guess I could probably just get of BC and use charting and condoms as our contraception..
Thanks!
Dont know if this will help.... but i was on ortho tri for 3yrs and had that problem. I went off it since then thinking that was the reason, and havent had problem since then. tried ortho and same thing before that
I'm hoping to have the same results as you davessamantha. Cause this sucks! I have 6 more pills left and then I'm going to stop I think. Hopefully this is the reason (which i think it is, since nothing else is different).
Well hope all goes well for you!! good luck.
