Growing herbs indoors

I recently bought a few varieties of herbs (cilantro, oregano, and lime mint) and potted them inside.  I am not really sure what to do with them!  Any tips for care and how to make them into spices?

Re: Growing herbs indoors

  • Using fresh, just prune and serve/cook.

Using dried/spice, just prune as if you were going to use it and let dry on a papertowel.  The mint may need a larger container b/c mine went NUTS.

  • They will grow toward light, so you will probably need to turn them every few days to keep them more or less straight up.
