Ok - so for a housewarming party, do you request where your gifts come from? Or where they come from? I read this "invitation" of FB and thought it was a bit tacky. And then to tell people to BYOB?? If you are going to have a party, things like that should be done by you - right? Please tell me if I am wrong.
Come help me celebrate (insert some dudes name here for privacy) "Boom Boom Room", "Fortress of Solitude", "Man Cave" and urthang else you can think of to call it! Yall know me so it will be a night of Laughter, Fun, Food, and Fellowship. I have registered at Wal-Mart but please know that Gift-cards to Wal-mart and Lowes are very much appreciated. Please RSVP if you are able to attend and let me know if spouse/ significant other will be attending so I know if I need to borrow an EBT card! lol Two time frames scheduled 2-5pm will be the housewarming (for my quiet peoples & Church folk...lol) and @ 8pm we got DJ YellaFella on the 1's and 2's kicking off the house party! So holla atcha boy, and let's have a party Pimpin! BYOB in full effect!

Me Squeshia.
Re: Is this tacky?
LOL - and the grammer is bad.
I find it odd that I am the same age as this guy (35), but I wouldn't word an invitation like this. I am all for staying young, but really. This sounds like an 18 yr olds party.
As soon as I saw the word "urthang," this was my thought exactly.
Tacky on many levels! Trying too hard to sound hip definitely!
Well darn. I should throw a housewarming party and request gift cards from Lowe's. Why didn't I think of that earlier?
And yes, that's a tacky (and lame) invite.
very tacky. and so is their slang.
This might be the most fitting description for his place the night of the party.
Would you believe it is? He posted this on FB for all to see.
