Good news and trashy neighbors
So this is a combo vent/happy post which I think is a first. lol
So the vent part: My neighbors are drunk trashy LOSERS!!! The lady who lived next door got drunk (and I'm sure there was something else involved) and started screaming and crying at the top of her lungs at 2 a.m. and screamed for 30 minutes. I finally called the cops and I assume she was arrested because one of her roommates was covered in bruises and bite marks and the other roommate is in his 70s, has a bad heart and a dislocated foot and is on crutches so I doubt they did anything to her. Plus, she has a history of getting under the influence and disturbing the peace (one time she banged on our door for a few minutes before I cussed her out and sent her home). At the same time all this was happening, the neighbor behind us started blasting his music. So yeah, I was in a major crappy mood this morning...
...Until we went to our first ultrasound 
We got to see the baby's heartbeat which was amazing and surreal and everything is looking great! We have a sheet of pictures of our "blob" as the ultrasound tech called him/her. lol So that totally made my day!

A friend of mine goes to the same OB as me and said they don't do an u/s until 9 weeks - even though my first appt is at 7, so I have to wait!!
I hope she's wrong....I wanna see too!!

Whits, I was saying the only reason I got mine done so early is because I had been spotting for two days and I have a fibroid, so he wanted to make sure everything was OK. The good thing about waiting just a couple of weeks is that you can see a lot more detail, like arm and leg buds and more facial features. It'll be worth the wait, trust me!
Sorry about the neighbors!
Post pics of your ultra sound if you can. Isn't it exciting to see/hear the heartbeat. I had an u/s done at a little over six weeks b/c I was having bad cramping just on my left side. Now I have to wait until June 1st for a pic that will actually show more.
Whit.....waiting a few extra weeks is definitely worth it. My pic at 6 wks is only a little blob and the sac. Now I have to wait until 12 weeks for my NT scan. I have a regular appointment tomorrow and my friend told me they will just listen for the heartbeat.

I'm excited to hear about your little blueberry! do you have names picked out yet? I know it's early, but wondering if you've bopped some suggestions around...

Congrats on seeing your little blob for the first time. It is exciting!
And as for your neighbors, I'm sorry. I know what it's like to live with crappy neighbors and be pregnant, so you are not alone! Just take it in stride. Maybe ask the one who was blasting music if he could keep it down. Stress the fact that you are pregnant and need your rest for you and your baby. Maybe that'll work. If not, you could always call the police. LOL!
If we have a girl I want to name her Shyanne. DH doesn't know yet that she WILL be named Shyanne. lol If we have a boy, I think DH wants to have his dad's name in there somewhere, so it will either be Russell ___ or ____ Russell.
Well, I'm not 100% sure it was the people behind us who was blasting the music. Regardless, I have been pretty snappy lately, so I will definitely have to send DH over there to do it. lol
