How are things?
Oh, thanks! Things are really great. We just got back from St. Kitts on Wed, it was a nice vacation. H is changing jobs next week and starting to work day shifts. I've been trying to get my work schedule under control. That's about it.
How about you? I've been thinking of you too! How's the new job? How's your DH doing?
Hey! Long time no see!
We are babysitting a pit bull for another rescue. P has finally met her match, pound for pound, at playing, wrestling, and body slamming (though we don't body slam in our house). I think they are finally worn out. Poor Arly (foster lab) is so freaked out by these 2 block headed creatures.
Anyway, we may go out to dinner tonight. I kind of want Outback, we'll just call some people to see who wants to go.
Tomorrow night we are having 2 friends over for dinner (another couple). It's time to start breaking the news so I am just doing it as I see people.
If the storms hold off, we'll take the pits on a long walk at one of the reservations. Arly can't go, she is still going through heartworm treatment
. 5 more weeks of sedation! *sigh*
Glad you had a good time on vacation. Hope work stuff continues to improve for both of you.
I've been good. The job is easy, if a bit boring. DH just got TWO job offers yesterday so probably by end of day today he'll be employed again--hooray!
TGIF! This weekend I will hopefully be enjoying the nice weather by doing some yardwork and other stuff around the house with the windows open.

Rock- Congrats on your DH finding a job that's amazing news, I hope you're doing something to celebrate!
This weekend my mom is coming into town for my graduation so that should be fun. I'm glad the weather will be good, the last time my mom was in town was Christmas when it snowed almost a foot!
I was offered two jobs earlier this week, so we're trying to decide (probably by today) if we'll be heading to the Midwest or West Coast!
Punky- sounds like you have your hands full! I bet they are fun to watch playing together.
Rock- congrats! That's so awesome for you guys!
Friday was full of great surprises. They had a surprise shower for me at work before school started. My coworkers were overwhelingly generous. Then when I got home I found out the carpet company came early to lay the carpet in the nursery and DH had already put the crib together, washed the sheets, and made the bed so the nursery is FINALLY starting to come together!
Today we are going to a BBQ.
Tomorrow they are throwing a small shower for us at church.
I would recommend it! It was a really beautiful island- lots of hills and rainforest. All of the beaches are public so you can wander wherever you want. There's really great restaurants and it's easy to get around by taxi. There's only one major resort, the Marriott, but a few other indepentent hotels and inns.
