I've put back on every pound I'd lost for the wedding so I'm back doing WW. It's probably been a little over 5 months since I did my first round.
I was wondering what your favorite low point meals/snacks? The last time I did WW I got tired of eatting the pre-packaged stuff.
Re: Back on WW
I like that idea!
Some of my favorite low cal/point snacks are hummus with veggies as dippers, or if you have the wiggle room, pretzel sticks are good and you get a ton for a few points. For sweeter stuff, I like to do a cup of strawberries cut up, sprinkled with Splenda, lemon juice, and a teensy bit of water. Let that sit for at least a half hour, then topped with fat-free Cool Whip is pretty tasty. It's basically strawberry shortcake minus the cake.
Also, I've seriously fallen off the wagon myself and would love to have a weekly check-in!
I hear ya girls! I am up at least 10lbs or more from our wedding! makes me sick to think about it!!
Back to running for me!
My Planning Bio! Married Photos! My Blog!
My go-to's are:
(10) baby carrots & lite laughing cow cheese wedge...sometimes I'll add a 1/2 serving of wheat crackers with it too.
hummus & pre-cut veggies
sugar-free pudding cups
yogurt with some granola
(100 cal) english muffins made by Thomas with 1/2 T all natural skippy pnt butter
banana with pnt butter
If your lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's near you, they have tons of options! The closest one to me is an hour away so when I go I stock up on their convenience foods....I like their Cinnamon Puffins with ff milk along with their freeze dried blueberries.
Congrats!!! Some of the things I did on WW was buy my fruit / veggies on sundays and cute up / seperate pineapple, watermelon, grapes ect... so that way I could grab each thing in the mornings before work and not have to worry about preparing anything. Also having the watermelon cut up was great to snack on after work.
I also liked dried cranberries or raisins and all natural apple sauce. YUM!
I have never done WW, so I am not familiar with the program, but I can give you some healthy recipes that I love that would probably fit your diet.
Enchiladas (go light on the cheese)
Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup
Strawberry soup
Avocado soup
Refreshing snap peas
Poached Eggs and Toast
Muesli
Fish tacos
Cuban chicken (this meal freezes and reheats well)
spinach hummus
Thank you for all the recipes/suggestions! I seriously need to hit the grocery store tomorrow to stock up on stuff. I have NOTHING left in the house to eat that's even close to the WW way.
Do Thursday's work for check-ins?
Of course you can join the check-in! WW is not a necessity.
