What music do you like?
Well, we were supposed to be gone camping but alas our "friends" backed out at the last minute so the Mr went to work for a few hours and I am looking at putting some new tunes on the MP3 player. I was wondering what you guys all dig. I like everything pretty much except country and moany ballads. What's on top of your list right now?

I'm an NPR geek, so most of my recent music is for my workout playlist. I find Lady Gaga very catchy, despite my best efforts. Some others I like are Replay by Iyaz and Body Language by Jesse McCartney.
Recent non-workout tunes I've liked are the new (well, around Christmas) Michael Buble album, and I LOVE the new Vampire Weekend album, Contra. Every single song is awesome.
Oh and pretty much anything from Glee ;-)
Country and moany ballads
plus broadway tunes, big band music from the 40's, R&B (old school because I'm old), 60's and 70's because that's when I was growing up, and 90's boy bands because that was what my daughter listened to! All over the place.
I like country becuase the songs tell stories...I'm all about the story and the harmony.

We have Sirius radio and I listen to the AltNation station in the car and at work...I don't always know who is singing what though!
I've been loving Tegan and Sara lately (bonus: they're Canadian), Neon Trees, Vampire Weekend, We Were Promised Jetpacks (they have this song that sounds a lot like Rise Against, a band I also love), MGMT (especially the song Kids), Metric...
Oldies (well, in my book, meaning I've listened to them for years and years) that I can't get enough of: Taking Back Sunday, Something Corporate, Brand New, Rise Against, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab for Cutie, the Postal Service, Weezer, Dashboard Confessional...

I really like Carrie Underwood...I do listen to country but I think she fits in more than just that genre. Miranda Lambert's "House that built me" gives me chills whenever I hear it too.
I love rockin to Rhianna's Rude Boy, Train "Soul Sister", and Usher's new one "OMG"
