It wasn't a true "vacation" but I spent four months in Costa Rica doing research..amazing. Close to that was the week DH and I spent driving up the East Coast on the way to visit family.
What is your idea of fun? If given a choice to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?
I have lazy mode too! Sometimes, having the ability to do NOTHING is amazing. Generally though, I'd like to go explore somewhere new with DH and the beach is always a good option too.
Which is your favorite time of the day, are you a morning person or a night person?
I am totally a morning person. I work best when everyone is still asleep and not distracting me.

I am a shoe and purseaholic. DH says I need a support group for it.

I would totally take a world wide trip and go everywhere! If I had to pick Ireland, Asia, and Africa.

I'm telling my boss what I think about the current management structure of our center today! Eep! I'll keep you posted on how that one went!

What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Crazy is my middle name. I approach life like a big adventure and don't every want to look back and say I wish I had done more. Everyone else seems to think that's just nuts so I have quite the list.
Moving to the Costa Rican backcountry to do turtle work and knowing no one there, nothing about where I was living, and being one of two english speakers is probably in the top five though. Also, in the top five is going swimming in the ocean in my wedding gown after the reception!
Which is the most funniest prank played on you or played by you?
Given the above answer, I have lots of these too. Hands down best though was getting my bridesmaids (and me and my father!) to fake everyone out and dance down the aisle at my wedding....without telling anyone else. (The rev, photogs and videographer knew but that was it) The footage of DH, the families and groomsmen when they realized what was happening is PRICELESS!
If given a choice, which animal would you want to be? Why?
Hmm, this is a tough one, I work with so many that are so fun! Probably a koala though, they are cute and friendly but will lay down the law if you push them to far.
Which is your most favorite place in this earth?
There is a particular stretch of beach on one of the islands that is totally soul soothing for me and one of state parks where I grew up.

"The Egypt Game" It's a children's book, but it's fabulous.

I don't know that I adore any. My favorite TV character, though, is House, M.D.

In 2000, three months before my parents split up, we took a family vacation to Disney World, Sea World, Epcot, and Clearwater Beach... It's still one of my favorite memories of my parents.

Probably scrapbooking and playing with the puppies.

I'm definitely a night owl; morning is not my cup of tea unless I have a cup of coffee.

This morning, actually. A friend called me at 7:30am and woke me up an hour before DH even had to be up. He got a piece of my mind. If that doesn't count, I told my sister how proud I was of her last night when she graduated.

Agreed to go to Tulsa with a friend on a "girls weekend" wherein questionable activities took place.

There are so many places I want to visit, I guess at the top of the list is Scotland. My family originated from there before the moved to Nove Scotia and then to Boston. I would love to go back and track my ancestey.

My ex-best friend who was a BM in my wedding and stole money from me and my family two days before my wedding. She called me about why I wasn't going to her wedding on May 9th and after she kept pressing my buttons I told her the real reason was because I want nothing to do with her. It felt really good to get it out in the open and she hasn't contacted me since!
Are you old fashioned?
I would say I really don't know- I lived with DH before we got married, my bridesmaids wore black and I left my parents house at 18 and never went back. However, I do honor a lot of my family's values and traditions. I did move back to the "homeland" since my family is Canadian (my parents are first generation Americans). I guess it depends on the definition.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Moved to a city (Edmonton) I had never been to before to be with DH. My parents are a 7 hour plane ride away!
Which is the most funniest prank played on you or played by you?
A girl I went to high school with "Punk'd" us, by telling us her date was Joe Perry's son (Aerosmith). My whole HS believed them and everyone was getting pictures taken with him at the Prom.

I think Penguins are pretty cool, I don't know why.

Strawberry Banke and Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH. These were two places I always went to when I needed to just relax. I miss them and the ocean!

Goodnight Moon - I have incredibly fond memories of my dad reading me this book and taking me outside on the deck to say goodnight to EVERYTHING (also a bedtime procrastination technique)

HM in Vietnam. It was adventurous and exciting with a lot of new experiences.

Fun is doing something outside. If skipping all responsibilities and cost not an option, I would take the train to downtown LA and have a nice dinner, drinks and show, then train home.

I'm an oxymoron with this one. I work best in the morning before others are around, but prefer evenings when at home.

When and how was the last time you told someone HONESTLY how you felt?
An ex-bestfriend was doing this with her life that were damaging to both her and her daughter. After a few anxiety attacks and trips to the ER, I picked her daughter up from another friend (who picked up her daughter from the ER while she was treated) while she ran back to the man who had just broken up with her and caused the anxiety attacks. She accused me of kidnapping her daughter and I said adios. We were once close and her daughter and I had a great relationship like an aunt-niece. I watched her all the time after her mom went back to work at 3 months old, even taking her to my dr's appointments with me. I took and picked her up from her first day of elementary school, was there when she lost her first tooth... We were often confused for being mother/daughter. I miss my relationship with the daughter, but not the drama of her mother. They both attended our wedding and the daughter followed me around all day and made me feel super special.

I think I have a traditional view or a lot of household roles, but I'm definitely more of a strong personality than H.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Sold my condo without telling my dad until I had a firm closing date and there was no ability to get out of the sale. Selling meant moving further away from my dad, which was good for both of us. We needed to have a more appointment-based relationship instead of a drop by whenever situation.
Which is the most funniest prank played on you or played by you?
A bunch of H's friends gave us "amazing" wedding gifts. One still included the tag from Goodwill. WTH do we do with them now? The wooden cat that looks like our hairless cat, Fluffy, was probably the best.
If given a choice, which animal would you want to be? Why?
Probably a dog. They eat, sleep, play and enjoy.

My extended family's house on an island off of the coast of Maine. There's no running water, electricity, cell service, etc. I've been going there since I was in diapers and have many fond memories of my family vacations throughout the years. We scattered the ashes of my mother there too.

Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor. I read it so much in elementary school that I still remember it now.

Which is the best vacation you?ve ever had in your life?
That would be my vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee 3 years ago. We went for the 4th of July and my family and I stayed in a cabin in the mountains. It was so peaceful and beautiful!
What is your idea of fun? If given a choice to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day?
My idea of fun is doing something different, something that I've never tried before and definitely doing it with friends to share the memory with!
I don't have a true 'job', except for being a SAHM, but if I could get away for a day, I would probably spend the entire day white water rafting (hey this is just a survey right?) with DH and a few friends. It seems like so much fun, and it's something I've always wanted to do!

Definitely a night person. I hate waking up early in the morning, even though I'm up at 7AM every morning because of K. I stay up until about 1 or 2AM, so I really don't get the sleep I need, but at night is when I get my down time because during the day I'm running around after 2 rambunctious children!

I love to shop, but I'm not your typical shopping girl..lol I will only go shopping if I can be sure I can buy something. If I know I don't have the money to buy anything, I don't like to window shop. But I also like to get in, get my things and get out. I don't like to stay at the mall forever and just browse.
How often do you go online?
I'm online several times a day, between FB and TN, I'm on alot. Thankfully my kids are really good about staying in front of me and K still takes long naps during the day.

I'm usually a little late to almost everything. I hate that though and I'm trying to work on it.

Everywhere! Every country, city, province, county, parish, town...every place you can think of!

I just told DH, over the phone though, because he's at work.

About a few things, like being romantic and how to treat a lady. But about others, I'm not.

Took my dad's truck when I was 16 and pregnant. It was 1AM in the morning and I didn't have my license and I was driving with his permission or his knowledge, yeah, it was dumb.

I can honestly say, nothing has ever been pulled on me, nor have I pulled anything on anyone.
If given a choice, which animal would you want to be? Why?
Either a bottlenose dolphin or a white tiger. Both are beautiful creatures and I would love to live in the ocean or live in the safari and be a top predator.

In the arms of my husband. Other than that, I would need to travel the earth to find out, but my answer would probably stay the same.
