I'm moody.
Aunt flo came and for some reason, I have horrid cramps which I never get.
I woke up at 4 a.m. with a really nasty charley horse in my calf and I woke up DH when I was muttering cuss words not so quietly while trying to get the stupid cramp to release.
My dog would not do a single outside job this a.m. even after DH and I both tried twice and were both hitting the road late because of it.
I decided to treat myself to an iced coffee this a.m. before work since my morning started on such a sour note. Its still hotter than hades here so I went for iced coffee with whipped cream. The lady filled my glass too full and put the whipped cream ON TOP of the lid. Seriously!? I looked at her and asked her how I was supposed to carry that since it is 80 and humid out and its gonna melt as soon as I walk out the door. She was trying to be "artsy". I was trying not to get angry. It all got scraped off into the garbage with a "thanks but no thanks" look over my shoulder as I walked out the door.
I hope SOMEONE is having a better day than me today. Blech - if this is how today is going to go, I want to go back home and start over.
Re: Marvelous, Meh, or Moody Monday?
Definitely moody. The boss is out of the office, but he left me a ton of stuff to do, so it's like he's still here.
Plus I'm really missing our Bad Kitty today. It's the first time we had to go through our normal morning routine without him and the whole place feels really empty. Feeling really blue today.

Moody over here. I'm very worried about my dog! He was diagnosed with kidney disease a few month ago and it seems like things have taken a turn for the worse this weekend- he was having trouble peeing, then peeing randomly throughout the house, he doesn't want to eat, and he is incredibly lethargic. The urination thing is what is really getting to me...it seems like his kidneys are starting to shut down.
DH is calling the vet today to see if he can get in soon, and we are going to go pick up some diapers for him tonight, but if his kidneys really are shutting down there isn't much we can do but wait it out a bit and put him down when he is in too much pain. I know we have to do what is best for him, but it is so hard to even think about.
So maybe moody isn't even the right word. Melancholy? That might be a better one for me right now

I was doing all right until I read Angela's post... and now I'm tearing up in my office.
That's really hard. I've only had a dog for six months or so... but still, I absolutely feel for your situation. T's & P's being sent your way.
Otherwise, I'm still mulling over the series finale of LOST last night and trying to puzzle together the pieces. This has kept my mind working and making me feel awake this morning, so that's good.
I'm better than meh but not marvelous.
Between last night and this morning, I've been losing auction after auction and am now convinced the main seller of these auctions has shills. There's one perpetrator (sp) who keeps bidding against me and every single bid they've ever made has been for this particular seller (over 700 bids). I could report it to ebay, but you know they'll do nothing regardless of their policy.
24 has its finale tonight...very exciting. I cannot wait to see Jack Bauer go even more guano loco than he has been in the past few episodes. It's too bad I've just started watching over the past couple of seasons
Angela, sorry about your dog. In addition to diapers, I would recommend using training pads. That's what we used when our dog's kidneys started shutting down, and it made the clean up a little easier. I hope it's just something random and not as severe as it seems.
I second this. We're using them now with Pugsly with her ongoing bladder issues.
Thanks, ladies. I'll add that to our shopping list tonight. Maybe we'll try those first since I don't think Norton will be too pleased to be wearing a diaper

Awwww Angela, I didn't know Norton was so sick :-( I'm so sorry to hear that! All these sad pet stories make me weepy!
Things are kind of 'meh' for me. This is my last week on my current project so pretty much hoping there are no fires to put out and I can slip off quietly. Definitely need the upcoming 3-day weekend! Our master bath is still all torn up, but hopefully only for another two weeks...
Moody. I have my progress meeting with the boss tomorrow and that always shakes me up a bit. I should be better after tomorrow. Oh. and I found a grey hair. awesome.
On a better note, DH and I built an outdoor sectional over the weekend and it's WONDERFUL! I still need to make the cushions, but it came out sooo nicely, and it only cost us $100 for the lumber.
I'm sorry for everyone who is having issues with pet health. I know how incredibly hard that can be
Marvel-meh. It's a day off, so I can't complain much, but at what age do old men stop showering? I was at the gym and every 80 year old iron-pumper smelled like ass. Seriously!
Workout accomplished, home safe with latte and to do list which will include groceries, and updating new personal finance software. A hilite will be finally watching the Grey's season finale- shhhh!
Hugs and a shot of rum all around!
I'm so glad that one of us is having a good day!
I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy Juangela. It is so tough to watch them get sick. I am hoping for the best possible for you all.
I'm so sorry. Sending hugs and good vibes for the little guy your way. Keep us posted on how he is doing.
Marvelous for once over here!
Just got word that a prof gave me an over ride into her class for the fall - which is fantastic because otherwise I'd have to push back my grad date.
Still feeling crazy happy about Friday. I was able to spend time in my friends classroom for students with severe multiple impairments (which is the type of class I will teach when I grad) and it was too awesome for words. The kiddos, the program, everything was amazing! I can't wait until I get to get up and do that every single day
Also, when I got to work this morning, I found out that I don't have to come in on Friday....so yes, marvelous on all counts!
I am also sorry for those dealing with pet heath and pet passing. It's heartbreaking when you have a pet in ill health. People can say what they like about them just being animals but to me and many others they are truly members of the family.
For me it is a Meh with the potential of being Marvelous. I am working right now which is totally boring because it's a holiday and there are like zero doctors around. However I am getting overtime for it so that makes it a little better. On a side note, this work computer is uber slow so this post is probably riddled with mistakes!
It's going to become marvelous because we're going to play laser tag tonight with some friends. Nothing like shooting your friends to relieve tension LOL. Seriously though it's super fun and I recommend it to those who've never done it.
Thank you. He really was a big part of our little family.
Also, I am totally jealous of the laser tag. I haven't played that since I was a kid. Have a fantastic time!

Today was just "meh" until I got reprimanded at work for dropping the ball on something that is in no way, shape, or form part of my job AT ALL. I was sooo annoyed, I could feel my blood start boiling! I have felt seriously cranky since then! Grrrr... I am ready for Friday already!
And lots of T&P's your way, juangela, I really hope your dog is OK!
