Carrie - I did see what you wrote under my FB status. Do you think that Juliet and Jack had a son together IRL? Did they ever have sex on the show? I remember them kissing...

I'm revising my original theory (that I posted on your status last night Gina). After watch Jimmy Kimmel, here are my thoughts.

I'm so confused still. Other than the fact we know they're all dead in the sideways world, I'm still confused!!! I'm gonna watch Jimmy Kimmel now and read some theories online!
I got this from Lostpedia...i think it sums it up pretty well:
Everything that happened on the island, happened in real life. No one on the island was dead the whole time - they all survived the initial plane crash, etc. In the final episode, Jack died, Hurley became protector with Ben as his number 2, and everyone else who died on the island or elsewhere, died. Those who died without fulfilling their purpose (i.e. Michael) were doomed to forever be whispers on the island. Those who fulfilled their purpose (Jin/Sun, Sayid, etc.) were allowed to go to the Flash Sideways timeline after they died, where they searched for the truth and were able to right their wrongs, i.e. make the right decisions about their life that they should've made in the first place. Once they saw the truth/their past on the island/remembered it, only then were they ready to "move on" and come to the church, which ultimately led them to heaven.Okay....I like the theory Laura just posted.
I haven't had any chance to read anything else about the show, but I did stay up for Jimmy Kimmel. So do we know for sure that the flash sideways stuff didn't really happen? Like, that was basically their purgatory/chance for redemption?
And since Ben wasn't in the church, is he not dead yet? Is he now the protector of the island?

I think that Ben hadn't quite redeemed himself yet and maybe wasn't allowed to move on yet...JMO
So did Kate, Sawyer, Lapidas (sp?), Miles, Desmond, and Claire actually get off the island at the end and go on to live their lives?
