Which bike are you looking at?? Is it out of stock?
I haven't ridden horses in a few weeks. I'm taking a break til July since I'm in the middle of my bike racing season, and things are really busy the next few weeks.
Re: *emm*
Ugh, at this point, I am SO confused.
At first, I was totally in love with the specialized women specfic one that I told you about.
So, I knew that right now was not the time to drop $1200 on a bike, so I started looking on Craigslist (don't throw spam!) for a used one. I found one that DH and I went to look @ on Sat and it was just junk.
I realized that I really just need to buck up and buy a new one. So we stopped at another bike shop down the street and they think I should just buy a cheaper road bike to get started.
Then another bike shop I was in tried to sell me a FUJI tri bike, so I am just SO confused. Everyone keeps telling me different things.
I know I want a new bike, and at this point I am more comfy on a road bike (I think) than a tri bike. So- do I just save up for the great specialized or go with the $600 Jamis (or whatever it is).
I'm DYING To ride, but I guess my MTB is going to have to cut it for now, just can't drop the bones without some saving..
Oh and BTW, riding has been amazing lately! I had an AWESOME lesson on Sat. and the trainer was talking to DH about me leasing the pony in the near future and he actually sounded agreeable to it!
))))))!!!! I am finally getting my eye and leg back.
P.S. I need an update on crazy trainer lady.
Yeah for good riding lessons! Things are still up in the air w/the trainer drama. I may post more on it later this week after DH has his lesson. I did go to the Dover Saddlery tent sale on Sat. w/DH. I got a halter and lead rope for $10! I also picked up some socks for my tall boots for $5. (2 pair including some really cute green ones). We also bought saddle pads at regular retail. DH got a few other little things to add to his tack box I got him for Xmas.
Just save up for the Specialized. You will be MUCH happier with a $1200 bike than a $600 bike. The difference at what you get at those price points is amazing. The quality of the $1200 bike will be much better. IMO, Specialized makes better bikes than Jamis anyway. I know how it is when you want something NOW and can't have it....

Ugh, it's SO frustrating! The Jamis that I test-rode was the same basic build as the specialized with the carbon forks and aluminum rest, and same shimano components. But I think the womens specfic just fits better. ugh, I duno.
Love getting horsey stuff, it's SO much fun! I need to sell my saddle though! (reminds self to post on ebay tonight) I'm hoping I can get enough out of the saddle to supplement for the bike
