Good morning loves!

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was fabulous.  M and I each took Friday off of work so we had a "long" weekend.  Thursday night we went to dinner at the 9's then went to see the late showing of Nightmare on Elm Street (I'll post a review after this post).  Friday we babysat our niece.  We went to our nephews baseball game that evening then stopped for dinner at the 9's again because I wanted this AMAZING hummus appetizer that is freakin' outta this world.  Saturday we babysat our niece again just during the morning, then we had to go shopping @ BJ's, then that night we went to the beach and played arcades and stuff till they closed up shop.  Yesterday we went with BIL and our niece to the local carnival, it was nieces first time at one (it stinks SIL had to work, so she missed her first time on a ride) so it was super fun watching her be amazed at everything.  BIL took her down the potato sack slide thing and she clapped the whole time, she also went on the "Crazy Bus" and loved it so much she cried when it was over.  I of course took pics and vids so mommy didn't totally miss it all.  M went on 1 ride with BIL but it ended up making him sick so he wasn't able to go on anything else, which is weird because they usually don't.  I'm smart, I know better that my stomach has gotten weaker with age and any kind of sudden movement makes me sick, yes, I really hate having a weak stomach and miss all the fun stuff.

Yes, my weekend was busy, but so fun.  It's been a while since M and I were able to just go out and do whatever without having to worry about him being home at a decent time to get to bed to wake up early for work.

Re: Good morning loves!

  • Good morning =D.

We had a great weekend as well.

Friday: I got off a little early so I beat traffic home. I was really in the mood for Japanese, so DH took me out to get it to go. When we got home, we ate and watched our dvr'd Thursday night shows. Then we played games together till bedtime.

Saturday: DH didn't sleep well and was up early. So I got up with him and we headed to the city nearby. We went to Barnes and Noble to browse and then the mall. We got a few things and it was lots of fun. When we got home, DH needed to nap, but I wasn't tired so I pulled out the WiiFit. I worked out for over an hour (and am still feeling it today). It felt great though. When DH got up from his nap, we played some games and then snuggled on the couch and watched some Buffy.

Sunday: We got up semi early and headed to Charlotte. We needed to deliver some coffee there and got to taste our coffee in a cafe for the first time. It was amazing. It really was cool to know our product was being served to all the people at the cafe. We went to lunch afterward and then headed to the mall to look around. Once we got back home, we watched some Buffy and went to bed early.

This morning we woke up well before our alarms, so we took a walk around the neighborhood and hungout before work. I loved it! I wish we were more of morning people so I could see DH every day before work.

  • I had a girl's wkend at the beach!  8 of us... to celebrate turning 30+10.

Had a great time-one weekend was long enough-and I got some sun AND managed to find a dress for the cruise-BONUS!  We aren't posting a lot of pics on FB as some are teachers and, well, I guess not all of us were necessarily proper.  We weren't too bad, but had a great time!

I'm still working on getting my voice back...

  • I'm so happy you and M had a nice weekend together!

My weekend update is in the post below...

  • My weekend started off good.  Friday I got to go on a field trip with my school to Kennywood (a local amusement park).

Saturday I went with DH off-roading in the jeep.  We go rained on a little but for the most part it was good.

Unfortunately Saturday night I started to get a sore throat and it last into Sunday.  I woke up this morning with full on ickiness. I am hoping it is just a cold and not bronchitis.

  • We got a lot more unpacking done and bought a few more things for the house.  Finally got groceries yesterday!  The fridge and pantry are full of goodies.  I also got a haircut.  I'll post pics later.

Scarlett coughed all night and woke up with very gooey eyes this morning.  I brought her into bed with us.  Sick again?  Ay yi yi.  Maybe she has bad allergies...

J had a bug up his butt yesterday after we got home.  Between the baby, the bird and the dogs, he lost his mind and started yelling.  he has a scary yell.  So I yelled at him to snap him out of it and he went outside to cool off.  The rest of the night he was nice, but agitated, anticipating a fight with his boss at work today.  I swear to Jebus that this dude needs to catch a clue about his temper before it affects his job.  At least he doesn't direct it toward me.  Still, I'm not a crazy fan of him aiming it at the dogs and in ear shot of the baby.  (He can yell at the bird all he wants; that cuckoo never shuts up.  lol)

  • My weekend was good...got to see some good friends and went out for some great food.  I can't believe it's Monday already...boo!!  I'm ready for the long weekend!

  • I had a great weekend at J's 5-year college reunion, but I am exhausted today. I need to get some packing done after work and I don't know how I'll have the energy.

  • Glad you had a good weekend with your hubby Sherie, sounded like fun!

We had an EXHAUSTING and busy weekend.   Next weekend is our HUGE annual Memorial day bbq so this weekend was spend doing a lot of prep for it.  We did a lot of yard work and went to Costco, WalMart, AND Target to get supplies.  We did end up going to a baseball game sat. afternoon to break up the madness.

On sunday hubby had to help his sis and BIL move the rest of their furniture into storage before they put their house up for sale.  I then met them for lunch at an awesome German (yes I said German) restaurant.

Next weekend will be a *little* less exhausting because it is a three day and our party is on sunday.  Thank goodness.

  • And I almost forgot.  I totally yelled at my @ss of a sister, T, yesterday, the one that is always a PITA.

Sure, Tuesday she called and wanted to know how much I was willing to sell my dad's bike for so she could get it out of her garage.  I asked her for the info on the bike.  "Oh yeah, I should probably send that to you."  Then this week got crazy busy for me.  No time at work for personal stuff.  No time at home when there's so much to unpack and a baby.

She texted me Saturday about it and I just didn't have time to look at her research.  Yesterday, she left me a nasty vm in her typical b*tchy tone, which basically said that she needs the sale amount from me or they'll bring the bike to me so I can and store it in my garage and I can worry about selling it.  This translates to: It's all about me and what I want; I don't care about what's going on in your life.  Even though I've sat on this task for months, I want to sell it NOW so you'd better jump.  My sister is Veruca Salt.  (no offense to Veruca!)

I get that she's tired of looking at the bike in her garage, and I get that now she's finally motivated to do something about it (after how many months? Five?  Six?).  I just don't understand how this makes it an emergency for me when I have just moved, have a crazy work day and a 9 month old.

So I call her back and she answers the phone with, "So, you don't answer your phone?"  I told her that I was in the middle of coloring my hair when she called.  "Oh, so you were coloring your hair since yesterday when I texted you?"  I tell her I get her situation and I'll get back to her in an hour, but she doesn't need to talk to me that way (when I really wanted to say, Eff U, you self-centered b*tch).  She hung up on me.

    Grr.

  • I pretty much ate myself into a stupor this weekend, so I'd say it was good! Stick out tongue

My mom and I had lunch and went fabric shopping for the nursery on Friday.  We made some good progress, but I've been advised not to buy anything yet by my sister.  Apparently she's been crib bedding hunting in Hawaii and has found some stuff I might like.  Her taste runs a bit more expensive than mine though, so we'll see if I buy anything there.

I had a "date" with a friend on Saturday for pedicures, lunch, and shopping.  I'd heard about this high-end stroller store in Richmond, so we stopped by there and I played with strollers for a little while.

We had a dinner date with friends on Saturday night at a great place in Williamsburg that we've been wanting to try out.  I had the best she-crab soup of my life!  When I thought I couldn't eat anymore, DH wanted to split cheesecake for dessert.  I took one for the team and ate half of it.

DH had to work all weekend, so I ran errands and did laundry on Sunday.  I've been having an extreme craving for pie, so I decided to make a berry crumble which in my mind = servings of fruit (hey, I used 2 cups of blackberries and 2 cups of blueberries!).  One of DH's co-workers had people over for wings last night, so I stuffed myself again.  We left early so I could come home to watch Lost during which I had yet another helping of berry crumble.

  • Good Morning ladies!!

My weekend was okay, but as always too short. I've been battling what seems like a re-lapse of my sore throat issues- maybe I need my tonsils out or something?? I'm gonna see the doctor soon :(

My cousins came over so I went to my parent's house on Saturday to see them and the boys (4 and 2 and handfulls!!). Yesterday I went back to hang out with my brother and watch the Dodgers and Lakers games, and they both lost so that was no fun.

I've been in a pretty blah/funky mood lately-partly from being sick and partly from some TTC stress. I am REALLY looking forward to the upcoming long weekend. My plan is to re-organize, re-evaluate, and sit down with DH to come up with a concrete "game plan" for our immediate future and what we have to do in order to make it happen........

.......and have 2 or 3 Margaritas Cool

  • Hi ladies! My weekend was ok...

Friday night: Picked up Thai food on the way home and watched Pride and Prejudice

Saturday: Had to go in to work for 4 hours to teach a class, but since I was in the city, I met up with one of my best girlfriends for lunch, which was fun. Did my errands with N in the afternoon, including a little shoe shopping with some gift cards I had. Got 2 calls from work after 11pm, then couldn't sleep because the calls made me anxious and angry Sad

Sunday: Spent the whole day at home helping my mom organize and price things for our upcoming yard sale. She still has TONS of my grandparent's things that no one wanted to keep, so it's a big chore, and we're only 1/3 of the way done.

  • Happy Monday, all!

We had a fairly productive weekend, baby-wise.  Saturday, D set up our crib (most of y'all probably saw pics on FB) -- yay!  Sunday, we hit up Ikea and scored 2 leather club chairs (we have been searching for similar chairs for AGES, and the price was right at Ikea), and shelves for A's nursery.  We installed the shelves with the help of FIL Sunday afternoon.  The nursery is actually coming together!

    Monday's almost over!  W00t.
