just wanted to introduce myself. Since I am new to the area, I'm sure I would be a regular on this board
I am married with 2 kids. Just moved down from MA with other family memebers and really am enjoying the change, for now.
Re: Hi y'all!
Thank you!
I'm in Winston Salem, but I have been around Charlotte and might consider going that way.
Thank you! where in MA is your H from?
But I hear around this time it can get really humid and lots of :::swallows in terror:: lightning storms/tornadoes. I am really not used to that, so tell me do a lot of tornadoes really hit in this area?
Welcome to the board
I grew up near Winston-Salem, in a tiny little town and I also went to college in W-S. Hope you like it there!
Nice!
I am noticing they're a lot of MA transplant's. Have you been to winston salem? this place actually reminds me a lot of N.Andover and sometimes even Salisbury.
Hi there Solely! I'm also married to an MA transplant--but he's from the Berkshire Mountain part of the state.
I'm a Triad nestie that used to work in W-S. Welcome to the area!
We get very few Tornados (*Knocks on Wood*)
It does however get humid. My hair never behaves because of this so I'm typically seen with a ponytail. We've had a couple of rough storms recently but I honestly don't remember when the last time we had THIS many Tstorms in a row was.
I also married an MA/CT transplant!
) . . well, he moved down here for his job in 2007. I love visiting up North with his family and I think his accent on certain words can be very cute (I'm a dork)
