yep, I'm whining...its too hot. I liked the spring weather much better.

I'm loving it.
The only thing I didn't like about it was that T was really uncomfortable last night. But H got out of bed at 11:00 pm to install the a/c window unit in his room, and all was good. :-)
I must say I am very much looking forward to the central air that our new house has, even though I do love the hot weather. It's makes it easier to sleep.
You know me, I hate the heat/humidity. I went out to lunch with a vendor today. And then we had some extra time afterward before we had to be to our next appointment, so he suggested we walk for awhile. Yes, that's exactly what I'd love to do when its hot and humid. And now my hair is about twice the size as it was when I left the house this morning.
***whine, whine, whine***
Brian came home on his lunch and installed the portable air in the living room and the room one in our bedroom. I tried letting the girls sleep in the living room but Mia got booted out because she kept goofing off. So Allison took the pack-n-play and Amelia had to go to her hot bedroom.
We are going to Costco tonight to get a room air conditioner for Allison's bedroom and let Amelia camp out there (if she behaves)
I think part of the issue is that I'm working downtairs without a fan or any air movement. Plus after spending some time outside with the kids, I feel blah!
Yeah I'm not a hot-weather person, either. Thus, I'm in a skirt at Panera sipping a mango smoothie.

I fell on my ass hard in broomball last night. It seriously HURTS to sit down all day and I have to keep readjusting.

It's been awhile though. Almost like you were due.
I'm going to whine.
I pulled 4 bags of weeds yesterday. My yard looks like I haven't made a dent in them.
My neighbors must hate me and my weed infested yard.
We are "that" neighbor too - but because the yard is over 50% crabgrass and stupid weeds that grow 3 times as fast as the lawn. By the weekend when DH is able to mow it looks terrible
We bought some stuff to spray, so I hope it helps.
And I don't care for a lot of the landscaping in the yard, and there is a lot I have no idea what it is too. I really wish I had a green thumb!
Currently my thermometer says 88, at 7:45 pm. Miserable!

Rip out landscaping. Put in plants that don't take work (we have several shades of hostas, some iris, some tall grass crap, juniper bushes) and line the beds with river rock. I still have to weed a LITTLE but not nearly what it was before!
I hate hot weather. Wait, I hate hot HUMID weather. If it was just hot, it'd be no problem. I'm going to buy Mere a kiddie pool tomorrow.

Here's mine: I sewed my finger yesterday. I'm making a dress for Willa and somehow the machine ate my finger for a minute. I have 5 stitches - that I did. Luckily, it didn't go deep.

freeburger - I agree with LVilla - we dealt with weeds for the first year we lived in the house. Then last year we ripped out almost everything, covered what we wanted to keep, sprayed a lot, and started anew. We haven't had to plant a thing or pull a weed this spring. For the yard we just use TruGreen cuz we're lazy and it does a pretty good job keeping the crabgrass/dandelions at bay.

Lvilla and Juli - I plan to give it this first year to see what comes up so I know what I want to keep. They have some nice hostas that I like, and a few bulbs. Not too many weeds in the flower beds, but I definitely want to change out the mulch for rocks and get some new stone edging for the border.
Now to find a job to fund this project :P
I've found that the response to my rocks is 50/50. Half love mulch (which I hate... it gets stuck to shoes and fades and you have to put it in EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.) and half love rocks. Ours isn't done. We still need to do the backyard, but it's so much frickin' work that I don't enjoy at all.
