Yesterday, I decided that I'm going to start training for a 10k road race (6.2 miles). I've been thinking about it alot, and yesterday, I found a running training plan. This plan will finish my training the day of the 10k race that I've been wanting to do.
I've decided to start another blog that will document my training day by day, and really keep me accountable, whether people actually read it or not.
Now comes the hard part. naming it.
What do you think?
Re: help me name my new blog
The Beaten Path
That's all I got
Follow my book blog: Panda Reads
Follow me on Goodreads: my read shelf:
oh good one, pand!
::taps fingers while thinking...::
i got nothin. i'll think on this!
I don't have anything...yet, I'll keep thinking.
I want to start upping my running. I've run a number of 5K'sand 10K's in the past but kept getting injured, so I have been spending the past few months reworking my stride and how I run, and then started re-training using C25K with this new gait and I have yet to have any sore muscles, shin splints, etc. so hopefully this will keep me injury free. I finish C25K the first week of July, and after that I want to use the "bridge to 10K" program to keep on rollin'. Link your new blog and I'll definitely follow since I won't be far behind you in the training program!
the irrational runner?
a credit to my math, and to the fact that i was never "supposed" to run?
I'll definitely link it once i have it up and going :-)
I told DH the idea, and he was actually pretty supportive of it (he usually thinks things like blogs are silly)...but he said hopefully i can help inspire someone else to start running/doing something they didnt think they could do.
This may be dumb, but what about 'Prime Running (s)'
1) when you run it's only you and the road, and given your math background, those are the only two divisors
2) the inherent definition of Prime equalling the most active, thriving, or satisfying stage or period, which I feel is fitting for your blog, since it's about your journey to a 10K (and maybe beyond).
thats a great one! thanks!
Ok...I've decided on:
Prime Running with the Irrational Runner
..off to write my first post now!
I'm using runner's world...I looked up two separate training schedules...a harder one, and one to maintain my speed, but to increase the milage...I'm going to try to do the more intense one, so we'll see.
Good thing you've already named it; all I came up with was Cool Runnings. Yes, like the Jamaican bobsled team.
I would love, love to be a runner so I'm totally going to be stalking your blog!
