How is everyone today? We turned the AC off last night and I'm hoping we can keep it off for awhile.
So stupid asses down the block decided to light fireworks off at 11:30 last night. Not those crappy little bottle rockets, I'm talking those loud booming ones you see at professional fire work displays. That's enough to get your heart pumping. Only good thing is that David didn't seem to mind the noice.

We still have our AC on... I think tonight we'll be able to turn it off. The humidity lifted quite a bit yesterday, but it's still supposed to be a little sticky and 80s today (with thunderstorms.) I never thought I'd say I can't wait to open the windows... but I am! LOL
I hope someone called the cops, Mel... at least around here, you need a permit to light off almost anything and a serious permit for those kind of fireworks! Jag-offs!
I'm doing okay... the past couple later nights have caught me this morning. But I have quite a bit to get done today and hoping that makes the day go by quickly. I think I'm taking tonight off, other than taking care of our neighbor's puppy for a few hours, though.
Happy Wednesday! I'm doing alright this morning...not feeling much better and either is Declan. Plus I took some cold meds that aren't agreeing with me and my thyroid medicine I take. Should make for an interesting day.
Morning. It's another crazy and hectic start at work here. Thank goodness it's in the field and not related to me. Looks like I will be alone again in the office today. Maybe I will work on cleaning my desk off since I have nothing else to do.
Mel, I would have called the cops. There's no reason to do it that late at night. Besides, what the hell were they celebrating?!
Kristen, sorry the cold isn't going away. I've been dealing with one off and on for the past 6 weeks. I hope you guys don't go through the same!
It is soooooo HOT in my office - I know I was bit'chin about this yesterday, but they still haven't fixed the A/C (now they're telling me tomorrow) and it is suppose to be 90 again today - I think I'm going to work half day.
Other then that it's bee a good morning - hubs got me a beautiful card this morning, he left it on the kitchen counter w/ my breakfast and coffee, it was cute. We're going to have a quiet family dinner out tonight - since the kids were a big part of our wedding we usually include them in something on our anniversary, so this year we let the kids pick the restaurant - we're going to On the Border (because they have chips - that's what Landon told me)
That sucks about the fire works Mel - it can be like that in our neighborhood during the summer - I think it's an Italian thing, they like the loud ones that just make noise. I don't mind if it's a holiday, but a random Tuesday night at 11:30 I think I would have called the cops for a noise complaint. At least David sleeping through it is nice, my boys could sleep through anything.

Good morning! Mel, i can relate, someone in the neighborhood has been setting them off for the last two weeks. Dont ask me what for.
Its our anniversary today so im in a good mood even though im pretty sure Af is coming on in full motion. My internship sites arent cooperating so i may have to do my internship in the fall which really is okay with me either way. No matter what i dont graduate until december. So whether i take it now or later doesnt matter. I have an interview with a place i really am interested in tomorrow.
Those fireworks are def. illegal in IL. Bottle rockets are even illegal, I think the only stuff you can buy around fourth of July is sparklers, smoke bombs, and snakes. Seriously, it's really limited around here.
I highly doubt the cops would have done anything, these people do it all summer long. Normally it's during the weekend when they are having a party, not a random Tuesday.
The dog absolutely hates them and of course started barking and panting immediately.
Morning! I'm doing well this morning. Swimming w/ Emily was a fail yest. due to the fact that the water was to cold for her. She did enjoy playing in the grass and I did get some cute pics..I will share once I upload them.

Thanks! Exercising is my downfall. I found a class I loved and then the instructor had to move so now I am looking again for classes that fit in my schedule and budget. It's very hard in a semi rural world!
I hope you find something that works for you soon, you're doing a great job so far! exercise is our issue too! now that both the hubs and I will be off work (me part time) he's on board to get both of us back in shape - so starting next week we're working out together - we have a bike and treadmill in the basement, we've set up a small home gym - I also have a laundry list of labor intensive home improvements we're starting on - so hopefully this will be the kick we need to regain some of the ground we lost.
Hi girls. I had a doctors appointment that I just got back from so I wanted to get some work done before hand. It went well though, baby is head down so that is good news!
I have been busy trying not to kill my office manager. She has been in way too much this week and last week. It hasn't been good. We are supposed to have a meeting either tomorrow or Friday about my maternity leave and I know she is going to make is as miserable as possible for me.
It is really uncomfortably hot and humid today, it's supposed to cool down tomorrow thankfully, it's way to early for it to be this hot!
A) You should fake labor pains during the meeting to make her look bad.. you know due to the additional stress.
