I remember you writing a post a while back saying how excited you were for the Beautiful Game. After hearing the 2010 FIFA World Cup Anthem, I am all of a sudden ten times more excited about it and the fact that I am in Europe where they appreciate soccer so much more. Have you heard it yet?? It's called "Waving Flag" by K'Naan. I love the song... it's so upbeat and happy. Also, (I don't know if they've done this before) they created different versions of the song with parts sung in different languages for different countries. Every version has some English though. So far, I have heard the English/Spainish one and the English/Arabic one. However, they have released versions for the following countries w/popular artists in the respective languages: Brazil, China, France, Greece, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and the Arab world.
Anyway... I just thought this was really cool and I love the song. Figured I'd let you know you have another person excited about the upcoming World Cup.

I love the song too! K'naan is a Somali-Canadian rapper from Toronto, so he's been popular here for a while. He's one of the few rappers I really like, because his lyrics are just sooo good. He's a real poet, for sure.
And the song is super catchy. My kids sing it all the time!
