J's on his way to pick up Scarlett from daycare again. Sick. Again. This time because her eyes are oozing green goo.
She just keeps getting sick. Maybe she has allergies which make her susceptible? Maybe it's all the kids? I breaks my heart to see her miserable all the time.
He wants to switch daycare centers. I hope we can find something.
Re: They sent her home again
Ahh poor sweetface.....
Most of my friends who have had kids in daycare say the first year is the worst for colds. I think it would be the same at all daycares so I doubt changing yours would make that big of a difference. All my info is second hand so what do I know. lol.
Here's my two cents as a mommy and a daycare provider:
1. The first year is awful. She will get sick no matter what daycare she is in. Even in home daycares will bring in some germs.
2. After that it gets a lot better b/c they don't pick up every little cold.
3. I am okay with it - I'd much rather have him not remember being sick than spending the first year of kindergarten sick like the kids that don't have any exposure.
4. It sucks hardcore to see your baby sick. The only nice thing about baby being sick is mega cuddle time and a good excuse to watch crap daytime TV. "The baby needs me to hold her while she sleeps....I can't get up."
Lots of feel better soon vibes to Scarlett!
