healthy recipes, easy for work lunches
Hey ladies! I'm looking for some websites & resources for healthy recipes that I can make ahead of time & are easy to take for lunches at work.
Lunch is my real downfall when it comes to eating healthy. I typically don't have a problem eating the same thing all week or a few times a week.
At work we only have a microwave to heat up food. It doesn't have to be food that is eaten hot, either, as I don't like to use the microwave that much anyways.

I love, love, love this blog! Her and her hubby are vegetarian and clean eaters but you can definitely modify these and get ideas.

Mmm.... some of those lunches seem right up my alley!
I'm just wondering, and I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but it seems like some of those lunches have an awful lot of sugar in them, between the fruit/raisins/chocolate.
I'm totally ok with not having a meat protein in my lunch also, since I don't like the microwave all that much & I don't like lunch meat.
I also wonder how she keeps the apples from turning brown! Or does her husband not care about that? Buying whole apples would be sooo much cheaper than the presliced ones Ted eats. He doesn't like brown apples, and he doesn't like eating apples whole, so this is our only option. I hate the presliced apples - whatever they put on them to keep them from browing (1) makes the apples sorta sour (which I hate) & (2) really bothers my teeth. Apparently my teeth are pretty sensitive.
Putting a little lemon juice on your sliced apples will keep them from browning for a while. That's also what bothering your teeth though too.
That blog looks awesome. Definitely bookmarking it. I have a hard time figuring out what to eat since I am home all day long. I tend to snack and just grab what it easy.
Ditto the lemon juice. I always put it in when I make fruit salad to keep everything from browning. I wonder if you rinse the apples if that would take away some of the sour taste. I know some is absorbed into the fruit, but maybe a quick rinse would help a little?
