Thinking of painting doors black

I am thinking about painting all of my interior doors black.  Does anyone know someone or someplace I could take my doors to be professionally painted?  I enjoy painting, but this is something I would want done by a professional.

Thanks!

Re: Thinking of painting doors black

  • May I ask why you want to paint your doors black?  I think in the right house it could look really cool, but I'm imagining it in MY fairly traditional, built in the 80's home and can't really wrap my head around it.

  • Yah, I was having a hard time picturing that in ANY home. So I Googled.

    Love this!

I can totally picture it now in the right home! Very cool idea. Although, sorry, I have no suggestions.

  • That is just one of the many beautiful pictures I have seen.  My  house is decorated in tans, whites, blacks and greens to add a pop.  Black doors, I think, would make a statement.

Wow that looks really cool!  I would imagine though it would only work in a larger, more spacious home.

  • My doors and trim are painted a sage green color. Nobody notices till I point it out but they do notice that something is different. I like having something different.

I would think any interior painter could do it but it would be easier for them to take them off the hinges. Sorry no recs but you MUST post pictures when it's done.

    I'm in LOVE!

  • I just had the doors and trim in my house painted for a couple thousand dollars less than any other quote I received.

He painted all the doors in my house in two days.  I really like that look.  I wish I had considered something different when we did ours.  I would love to see them complete.
