Since we are slow, I'll AW a bit.
So, its official - we are moving to Chapel Hill/Carrboro NC (we want Carrboro, just looking for housing)! Annnnd... we are moving NEXT WEEK. Its all gone on superduperfast, and it feels like things have just been falling into place with it so far, which is awesome. Its only been a month since he was approached about this job, and its CRAZY since next week we will be on our way!
We've been super lucky with the company paying moving costs, and K is taking a trip out there this week to find us a place to live (rent, buy, whatever). The market has been kind of lackluster for us, and we can't find the uber cool ultra modern housing that we love - but its only for 3 years or so anyhow. The biggest thing that has been the pain is the housing for sure - and hopefully that will be resolved this week. I got approval to go remote at my current job, and that was awesome and lucky as well.
So, June 3rd, he's getting in his truck with two of the dogs, and I'll fly up there with my little muttley a couple of days later. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
So, thanks for the good thoughts and questions! Keep it up, cause I definitely need the luck over the next two weeks with all the moving and transporting ourselves across the country.:)
