excited -using wedding gifts today.

We got a couple lawn games as gifts for our wedding (we registered for them) and since it snowed the day after our wedding, we haven't used them yet.  They're doing a major overhaul of the computer program I use to do 99% of my work so we're having a work party at one of my co-workers' houses.  I'm breaking out my new bocce ball and ladder golf sets!  Who doesn't love yard games, and even better, who doesn't love yard games while they're getting paid to play them?!  Big Smile

Pot Luck lunches also taste better when you're paid to eat them. Big Smile

  • Jealous!

What a great way to spend the day- have fun!

  • That is pretty awesome.  Have lots of fun for the rest of us!
    Matt loves Munkii!!!
  • Nice! What is ladder golf? I'm not familiar with that.

My Dad's family is Italian so I've been playing Bocce since I could lift the ball... a note though, if you play Bocce after a storm, prepare to have your lawn TORN UP :-P

That is sad!  I can describe as best I can.  There are 2 sets of "ladders" that are 3 rungs tall.  They stand straight up and sit on a pedestal base.  You put them maybe 15 feet apart.  Each person or team has to stand even with one ladder and throw these golf ball things at the rungs on the other ladder and get them to stay on.  The golf ball things are essentially 2 golf balls with holes drilled in them and rope pushed through.  They're about 6 inches long all together.  You get points based on which rung you get the balls to hang onto after both teams play their turns.  We usually play to 20 points but I know other people do different variations.  Totally addicting!

  • I am completely jealous.  We're still looking for a corn hole game to borrow for our night before the 500 party on Saturday.  That's one wedding gift we registered for that I wish we would've gotten.  Instead, we wound up with 4 crock pots.  Lol.  We could've taken 2 of the crock pots back, but didn't.  Sad part is that we've used all of them multiple times.  Who knew!

Hope the lawn games party went well :)
