She was in the last round of semi-finalists to go before they went to the Top 10 (or 12 or whatever). She and Crystal had very similar sounds/looks/appeals, and it was pretty clear only one of them would make it. But I liked Lily better.
I love both Crystal and Lee and couldn't have imagined a better top 2. I'll be happy with whoever wins, but I think based on last night...Crystal deserves to win.
That said, I could see Lee winning just because of his style and some people not loving Crystal's tattoos, dreads, etc. ::cough, my mom, cough:: I think older, traditional, conservative people may look down on her style, but I absolutely love it!

SO true! I really would love to see Crystal win. I just love her attitude and confidence. She really rocked it last night and blew Lee away!
This is the first season of Idol I haven't watched! I watched Hollywood week and the Top 12, but just couldn't get into it. Even though I love Ellen. I do remember Lily Scott SBS, she was the one standout I remember (blonde with a guitar?). She was fantastic and I agree, she should have gone further.
I tuned in last night just so I could see the final 2 and quite honestly, thought they both sucked. I was shocked they were the last 2 standing. Such boring songs and I didn't think the singing was anything special either.

I agree. I've casually watched this season, and had no one I was really interested in. I don't know what's different this season, but it's not been interesting.
With Simon Cowell leaving, what do you think will happen with the series?

I am not sure honestly! I love Simon, I hope they find someone equally honest and brutal to replace him though. I don't know if this show has already run its course for me or if I just didn't connect to any of this year's contestants. What do you think?

And hometown boy Aaron Kelly. But I'm a loyal tv viewer, so I stick through to the bitter end. Curious as to what will happen next year. I'm sure ratings will do down A LOT, and they're already crappy.

We're predicting that 11 will be the last season in our house. I think the show could go on without any of the judges EXCEPT Simon. He's the only one who gives a straight opinion.
And I agree--I just didn't connect with any of the contestants. And there weren't standout songs and performances each week like in previous years.
