Recommend your liquid foundation

I usually use Clinique Perfectly Real but it's $22.50 and honestly, I don't want to spend that much anymore if I could be getting foundation for half the price or less.  I have fair and sensitive skin and I want something natural looking.  I use bare minerals over my liquid. I saw a Maybeline Cream Mousse foundation or something that looked good at less than $10 but thought I would see what everyone else recommends first!

Re: Recommend your liquid foundation

  • i don't wear foundation, so i can't recommend a particular kind. But I do know that cvs lets you return makeup if you're not happy with it. If you have the receipt you get your money back, if not, you get store credit. I just had to return two lip products b/c they were totally the wrong color for me.

i'm not sure, but rite aid and walgreen's may do something like this too

it could be a good way to try something out

  • i use revlon color stay. i like and it is not heavy like some foundation is

I almost never wear foundation, but when I do, it's Mary Kay.  I don't remember the specific name of it, but I like it.

Is it the medium or full coverage?  I wear the medium coverage and I use the concealer too.  I also just started using the mineral powder too, and I like that alot.  I dont wear foundation everyday because I'm just here at home all day, but when I do go somewhere I just touch up my dark circles with concealer and blemishes I have with foundation and concealer, and then I put mineral powder all over it to even out my skin tone.  Some days, all I need is a little powder (if I dont have any huge breakouts).

Caroline, Our medium coverage foundation is $14.00.  It goes on really light, and it does look natural.  I dont know if that's more than you'd be willing to spend, but it does last a LONG time, especially if you dont use it everyday.  In all of your pics. you have really great skin, so you dont seem like you would need a lot of it.  Let me know okay?  (Not trying to sell you anything, I'm just letting you know I wouldn't mind sending you some, and that I like it a lot.)  you can also return it if you dont like it, and get a full refund.

  • Caroline - I used to wear Clinique's perfectly real too - but i would agree - $22.50 is A LOT to spend on foundation.

MK's liquid foundation actually has the highest form of pigment in it so you can use about 1/3 less of it than you would something like clinique.  And I noticed after making the switch you you actually only do need to use a little bit of it at a time.  I've found myself wasting some by wiping my hand off with toilet paper because I didn't need all of it and I couldn't get it back in the bottle.  (It's a squeeze tube.)

Here is the product fact sheet straight from MK's website if you want to see it.  http://content2.marykayintouch.com/Content/Products/ProductGuide/OnlineProductBooklet/PDF/Fact%20Sheets/Foundations/MKMediumCoverageFoundationFactSheet.pdf

again, not trying to sell you anything... just wanted to help you out a little in case you might be interested.

Yep, it's the medium coverage that I have.  And I really don't have to use much at all when I do use it.

I have read a lot of rave reviews about this, I have been wanting to try it (but I hate wearing foundation, especially in the summer!).
