but M told me yesterday that after this next boat is finished there will be a position higher than his open and they are strongly considering him for it. He was just promoted only 2 boats ago and was made permanent on that position at the end of this last boat (very very few people get made permanent). I am not only super excited that he seems to be moving up the ladder so quickly, but I really hope in the end he does get this position because other wise, after this next boat, he'd be put on the road until the next boat comes in, which if my memory is right, he said there is a long break of about 16 months (I could be very wrong here) between this next boat and the one after. While the money would be amazing if he was sent on the road, I just don't know if me hardly ever seeing (much much less than now because he'd actually be away in another state) him would be worth the money. I'd much rather him be promoted and have the better chance of staying here until the next boat.
He did say it seems pretty promising that he'd be moved up though, he's noticed they are slowly moving him out of the area (I won't say what he works on because I don't know if I'm allowed to, I don't know the rules of talking about his job) he works in now (which, according to him, is also another hinter they want him to take the job). He is the youngest supervisor they have (I think) and he's the youngest to be made permanent.
He would also rather be moved up than to constantly be on the road. He strongly dislikes being on the road.
