s/o of mole post... Derm. recs?

I haven't been to the dermatologist since I moved to Austin (2 1/2 years ago... BAD me!); I used to go annually.

I want to go in for a general check-up.

Who do you recommend?

North preferred. TIA!

  • I love Austin Derm Care. I see Dr. Fox and Dr. Procise (I have been to Dr Roark, but he isn't my favorite)

     Their website is http://www.austindermcare.com/

Ditto Dr. Fox. I used to love my derm, until she told me that she thought I might have herpes for something that was clearly not herpes (it was an abscess). Taytee recommended Dr. Fox and has been great (and liberal with cortisone shotsSurprise). Plus, I love that I get in and out in under an hour easy. Such an improvement from my previous derm!

  • I like Dr. Hart at Austin Dermcare. Dr. Roark is a good doctor, but he's kind of a good old boy and it feels weird to discuss things like bacne with him. I prefer a woman.

  • I've been to Dr. Hart at Austin Derm Care and Dr. Farady at Balcones Dermatology. Had to have moles taken off both places, and I liked them both. I think Dr. Farady has been in practice longer if that makes a difference to you, but I don't think you'd go wrong either way.
  • Thanks, all!
