The Office season finale *spoilers*

I'm giving this an "eh." I wasn't overly impressed. I expected more.

1. Not that many great one-liners

2. Nothing was resolved, but none of the issues are ones that make me go "OMG. I can't wait until fall!!"

3. The ending: Michael asking for Holly back... not that exciting, either.

Re: The Office season finale *spoilers*

  • Agreed. Although I was a bit distracted through it, it obviously wasn't exciting enough to keep my attention. I did really enjoy 30 Rock though, and I think that's been my favorite over the Office for awhile now...
  • I agree! I expected much more from a season finale, especially from one of my favorite shows. I do hope that Holly comes back though, her and Michael are hilarious together.

Wasn't she involved with someone else at the new office? When Michael had Pam (?) snoop around Holly's new desk, didn't she figure out that Holly was seeing someone?

Michael looked so hopeful when the big boss lady (I don't know her name) said she'd try to bring H back. I thought that was cute.

He saw her at a company picnic with someone new, didn't he? I don't remember that well, but I think it was the company wide picnic... maybe at the end of last season?

Pretty much.  I don't remember if it actually made me laugh.  Such a bummer.

I started recording Parks and Rec a few episodes back though and THAT show has been making me laugh.  I look more forward to watching that on DVR than The Office - I'm sad it's gone downhill from how great it used to be!

  • Okay, we finally watched this.  And, yeah, it was definitely disappointing as far as season finale's go.  And it wasn't even very funny.

My H and I were talking about how it was kind of a let-down and he pointed out that it seemed like the whole purpose of the episode was a set up to get Holly back.  That's probably true, but I expect more than a "set-up episode" from a season finale.  I do like Holly though and Michael and Holly are hilarious together, so I'm hopeful that she comes back.

And I like the boss lady's dogs.  They're awesome.

I think Kathy Bates is absolutely perfect in that role.

I agree that she's great for that role.

Although, Kathy Bates terrifies me.  When I was a kid (11, maybe?) I saw a movie where she was a psychatrist who brainwashed one of her patients into being a serial killer.  She was terrifying in that movie and it traumatized me (I was too young to be watching that movie).  The woman scares the hell out of me to this day!
