My step-dad (who raised me and I'm super close with) had a "mild" heart attack yesterday. I'm not sure how they define mild because he was medevaced to Anchorage. I know this was probably just because my home town hospital is smaller and didn't have the capability to put in the stint that he needed but still scary.
While in there they discovered that all of his arteries were partially blocked so he is having bypass surgery today.
All dust, thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. scary stuff!
he's young too, just early 50's! thankfully I'll be up there in 11 days, my sister is getting married on June 12th, I offered to come up sooner but there's really nothing we can do to help right now, especially since he'll have to be in the hospital in anchorage for at least 5 days. It just feels so helpless to be so far away...
Re: dust please
I am so sorry. I hope everything goes well.
I totally know what you're going through. Something similar happened to my dad and he's up outside of Seattle. It's so hard to not be able to be there.
Take care.
Oh, I'm so sorry! Thoughts and prayers for your family.
Sometimes I pin stuff

~*~*Healthy Heart Dust~*~*~
Although not heart attack related or bypass related, my DH had heart surgery end of February, so I can relate to all the scariness of that.
