I'm a little disenchanted with one particular aspect of life. I'm stewin'.

The Nest (as a whole) has been a little slow and dull, but even I am to blame as I have not been contributing as it has not been holding my interest lately.

i didn't get much sleep last nite so i came in to work early. for that reason, i'd really like to leave early and take a nap. i just don't want certain people here making snide remarks to the boss about me skipping out early (since no one knows i came in early). but, i may be at the point where i just don't care.

I am p.o'ed that celebrities are going gluten-free to lose weight, like some new miracle diet. Articles keep talking about how easy it is to make this 'one little change' for so many health benefits. As someone who has celiac disease, it is not 'one litttle change' for me; it's a lifelong battle, and by the public talking about it being so easy, it trivializes what I go through every day. It also makes the disease look less serious. Someone who is 'gluten-free' just because it's popular doesn't have to worry about cross-contamination of foods. If restaurants stop taking me seriously because this is becoming a fad, and I get sick, I will be furious. Stupid celebrities. *rant over*

Is it a heavy pain, like something is pressing down in the middle of your chest? If it is this, it's most likely heartburn, you'll probably need a bit more than Tums to get rid of it.

My FFF: DH is good about making the bed and straightening the kitchen in the mornings before he leaves, unless I'm home, and then he doesn't do anything. Why does he think I should cover his chores just becuase I'm home?

The following are the things I dislike about summer:

1. biting bugs like mosquitoes

2. Inside building freezing my arse off and requiring me to carry a jacket with me all year round either for outside in the winter or inside in the summer.

3. daytime traffic because all the HS kids that have cars are out driving around when they normally would either be in school or somewhere else not contributing as much to the traffic (mostly from lunch time and later b/c morning traffic now that schools are out is fantastic!)

4. Humidity. Nuff said.

5. My car being ridiculously hot even with the windows open/cracked.

Stuff like that just makes me sick. Celiac is a big deal and I know it's definitely not a simple change. I sincerely hope that restaurants don't start seeing it as a fad.

I am really ticked that my knee is starting to bother me while running and although I know this probally means I need new running shoes, I am cheap and don't want to buy new ones b/c I don't fee like mine are old enough.

i am SO ANNOYED that not only do i have to work monday when everyone else is off....but i have to work a different shift tuesday for AL primaries, because a coworker is totally irresponsible and didn't think our boss' email about "all hands on deck" meant her.

this is also the same *** who caused me to work sunday.

The pain went away now. I think it is because of the stress at work. Although it could have been heartburn too.

And why won't my DH just make the bed or clean up after himself even if I am there or not? At least yours does it when you are not there so then you don't have to worry about it. Oh the things I do for him...

I don't make the bed. It's pointless. No one sees my house and I'm just going to crawl back in it at night. It gets made once a week when I change the sheets.

I work in advertising(agency, now in house) and DH does as well for the local affiliate it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to watch shows without criticizing the production. Esp since we see some of his clients commercials...I don't think it will ever go away!

My jeans today aren't as long as I'd prefer and I sorta' hope nobody notices the high-waters. On the other hand, I haven't worn these jeans in 2 yrs and if anybody wants to laugh go right ahead! I'm just happy my azz fits in them! I also refuse to buy more jeans since I hopefully will only be wearing them 2 months anyway.
