We're having a couple of BBQs next month and I'm sick of doing the same old boring marinades we do. Does anyone have any recommendations for grill sauces? Either ones we can buy or easy to make recipes?
Re: Grill Sauce Recs?
These are both more of a marinade than a sauce, but I use them when we grill.
I'm a fan of Lawry's garlic pepper marinade...especially good on any kind of beef. I actually add it to my pot roast when I eat leftovers. (I don't remember the exact name of it, and I just went to check and discovered that we're out.)
As for a homemade marinade...for chicken, I use equal parts olive oil, honey, and soy sauce, with a bit of added pepper and garlic (either minced or just garlic powder).

This is SO good! I have used it to marinade Mahi Mahi, then top with more after it's finished cooking. I bet it would be good on chicken or beef too.
