Disturbing News Article

I read a very disturbing news article today in the Enquirer about animal abuse at a cow farm in Central Ohio. Has anyone read the article? It was so sad and disturbing. I could only watch the first 10 seconds of the video before I was in tears. I really hope the people involved get a punishment that fits the crime. I don't know how any human being could be so mean to an innocent animal. It makes me so angry....

Re: Disturbing News Article

  • They showed the video on our local news. I couldn't bare to watch it. That man has problems. So disturbing, I agree.
  • Thankfully the man in the video has been arrested.  The owner of the farm was said to be cooperating and actually called the authorities to come get the dude as he was firing him. However, I also heard there is some more video of the owner taking part in the abuse and ordering others to do so.  I really hope that is not the case...but I also don't know how you wouldn't know the abuse was going on if you maintained a regular presence around the farm.

  • I heard about this but I can't watch the video or read the article.  Here's a petition to get the farm shut down if you are interested...

  • I heard that about the owner too.  Those are some pretty messed up people.

  • I not a big animal person in general, but I couldn't even watch that.  I turned it off after about 20 seconds.  That is terrible.  I don't know what my intial thought was when I read animal abuse but it definitely wasn't what that guy was doing.  Someone should do those things to him.
  • More and more I am happy with our decision to move towards more local, organic, and humanely raised animal products.  It's worth the cost to me, because if everyone did it, even just 10% of their products they consume, it would eventually drive all animal farms to better practices because of the demand.
