Hotel Group recs

Since I am now going to be traveling for business 4+ times per year, I should probably start a rewards program. Anyone have hotels they care to rec? Thanks!

Re: Hotel Group recs

  • you might want to e-mail Mrs.PK. She did a lot of work traveling.
  • My mom travels very often for work and is a die-hard Marriott fan - they are great with points and have locations at different price points all over the world.

You also may want to check into airline points if you'll be flying often.

Ditto, because when you take vacations you can go to W's.  Hilton is a close second. When DH traveled a ton he was a Hilton Diamond member, since there were Hampton Inn's all over the place.

If you go to  flyertalk.com, you can get on both the Hilton and Starwood forum to see which program you like better.

  • my cws prefer Hilton but have rewards programs at basically every major chain just in case they can't stay at a Hilton.

Do you have a company card? Or can you expense everything. If its the latter, have you thought of getting the Starwood AMEX? Those points really come in handy when we are traveling to New York and other cities with expensive hotel rates. Starwood also has something called "Cash-and-Points ". Just a couple more thoughts. Don't forget my mention of Flyertalk, its really a great resource and there is even a Starwood Employee who posts answers to questions.

  • Another vote for Starwood!
