Anyone ever done permanent hair removal?
I am starting to sprout little dark hairs on my upper lip as I get older

My skin is sensitive so bleach & Nair hurt like holy heck. Waxing works but it's expensive. I suck at DIY waxing. Has anyone ever done laser hair removal? Any doctor/salon recs? Or pricing info? If I was a millionaire I'd do my legs, face, under arms, everything!
Re: Anyone ever done permanent hair removal?
Years...and years...and years ago I did electrolysis for my chin and upper lip. I think I was in my early 20s and went for at least a year - maybe once every two weeks.
I still get dark hairs in both places so I'm not sure it actually had any permanent effects. If it did work, I can't IMAGINE what I would look like if I hadn't done that.
The irony of my life is that usually around the time I need to color my roots I also have to bleach my 'stache and chin. Lovely.
My mother had electrolysis on her chin and lip with good results. It did take quite some time to complete though. She went to a dermatologist here in Cincy but it was 20 years ago so I don't have a name for you.
Quite misleading of Mom really. The fact she didn't have the stache and stubborn black squiggly hairs kind of gave my sister and I a false sense of security. It was quite the surprise when in our 20's the hairs started to pop up on our chins. Sister's stache is pretty bad. She does very regular maintenance on it.
My friend did laser hair removal at a place in blue ash ... she had a great experience. I have no idea how much she spent, though. I think it was pretty expensive ...
