Not a fun day
Zoe, our 2-yr old schnauzer, had a vet appt this morning for her annual shots. Then about 4ish I noticed she was acting a little funny and then her face started to swell along with her neck. Of course the vets office was closed so I had to take her to the ER Vet's all the way across town. After almost 40 minutes they finally got us into a room. They gave her three more shots on top of the three she'd got earlier in the day. They are thinking she had an allergic reason. Two of the shots at the ER Vets had to go into the muscle so it hurts her to walk right now. But other than that she seems to be better

bummer! Gald she's gonna be ok. Give her a puppy hug from her nestie aunties. (and sneak in an extra milkbone for good measure
)
This happened to our dog last summer when she got stung by a bee. We also had to go to the ER vet since it was a Sunday. I now have a benadryl duct taped to her leash if it happens again to help until we can get to the vet. The ER vet took 40 min to get to and I freaked out the whole time.
