Misa - Mercury Car Info

Saw this article and thought of your car debate.  It might be worth looking into...

Re: Misa - Mercury Car Info

  • Misa just sent me a message and wanted me to let you know that she is in PA for the weekend! TN won't let her respond to this on her phone, so she says thanks for the info. She and DH don't want to go with a car company that may not be around in a year!

  • Yep, that's how I would feel too.  It not only reduces the value of the car, but might make it more difficult to find replacement parts as the years pass.

  • It's also like a double-edged sword.  On one hand, I'm sure the price for the vehicles would be a lot less... but as you mentioned, it may be hard to find replacement parts 5-10 years down the line.  I know that some people have opened up the hood of their Mercurys' and found Ford parts, but I don't know if that is a chance I necessarily want to take.

I guess it is back to the drawing board now... at least we still have two more months to figure this all out before we need to start really pounding the pavement to find a car.  Thanks again!
