I know nobody is around today but I need to vent.
I started off the weekend by accidentally leaving the gate from our driveway to our deck open Friday after I checked the mail. Since I didn't realize the gate was open, I let Roxey out.
It was raining and after about 15 minutes I wondered why she hadn't come back to the door yet. I called and called but she didn't come so I went outside to look for her only to find the gate open. I start freaking out, yelling for Clint to get outside. Thankfully, he ran to the end of the driveway and whistled and she came running right to him. I was so upset with myself though that I cried for a good 20 minutes.
Saturday I had a migraine all day and just plain felt horrible.
Sunday was an ok day. We ran some errands and watched The Hangover which was pretty funny.
This mornging I got up to start cleaning the house since my mom was coming for dinner. I checked my e-mail though and had an e-mail from her telling me to call her ASAP. Well, my grandmother is in the hospital. This is about the 6th time she's been taken to the hospital via ambulance this year. It's always the same problem, she's throwing up, can't keep any food down. My poor grandmother only weighs 89lbs right now. My mom has two sisters, one who lives in NJ near my grandmother and one who lives in FL. Well the one who lives in NJ happens to be in FL for the holiday weekend. My two aunts decide they are going to drive up to NJ, stopping in Atlanta to pick my mom up, I think they've all come to the conclusion that my grandmother can't live alone anymore and when they tell her that it will absolutely kill her. I hate being so far away.
Since my mom is going to NJ today, she won't be here next Monday to go watch my brother play in the US Open Sectional qualifier. I'm so bummed. I was really really looking forward to watching him play but nobody I know wants to give up a monday to go walk a golf course in the heat.
This all just sucks.

I'm sorry your grandmother isn't feeling well. I hope she's better soon.
Why not go to the US Open yourself or with your DH? Your brother playing in it is a huge deal.
I'm so glad Roxie didn't go far or get hurt! I really hope everything turns out OK with your grandma.
I think it is so hard for older people to transition out of thier homes and into other facilities but I always hear that once they are settled they end up having a great time. Usually there are so many activities to keep them busy and they meet tons of new friends. i hope it works out!
