My MIL's theory
Feel free to eyeroll.
She believes that the oil spill caused the Guatemala sinkhole. She thinks the space the oil took up that is now a void, caused a vacuum somewhere else on the planet, causing the sinkhole.
It took a lot in me not to laugh at this theory. A lot.
