Has anyone done this? I was looking into getting into this but can't seem to find an exact answer on some things about it. For instance, it's 12 different DVD's, so you just do them all in a row or switch them up? How long is each DVD? Is there a way to substitute the exercise if you don't have the chin-up bar? Would love to hear any feedback about it. Thank you ladies

Re: P90X?
DH got this a while ago since his brother was raving about it. Since then, it's mostly collected dust. His brother had a lot of success with it, though. But he's much more dedicated when it comes to his fitness routine than we are.
In any case, there's a recommended schedule to follow for the DVD's. They are different lengths, from about a half hour to over an hour. Our set came with the chin up bar, which attaches to any standard doorway. Unfortunately, because we have our set up in the basement where the walls are cinder block (it's an old house), it doesn't fit. We also got a set of resistance bands with it and the couple times I did it, I used those instead. IIRC, they show you that in the DVD since many people can't even start with one chin-up.
Ours also came with the recommended diet plan and supplement drink powder.
Hi Lisa! DH and I are actually doing P90X right now. We just finished day 2 this morning. I really like the workouts so far, they are challenging and they keep me interested. It takes a lot of time and commitment though. There is a schedule included that tells you when to do each DVD. Each DVD is a different length, from about 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, most around 1 hour. We bought the chin up bars that you just use in the doorway too, got them at Bed Bath and Beyond for I think like $24 because you can use the 20% off coupon. If you don't want to purchase one, a friend of mine told me he would do push ups in place of chin up since it was working the same group of muscles. It also comes with a diet plan which we are also following. I know people who have done it, and I know it works, you just have to follow it the way it is designed.
