Staten Island seamstress recs

Hi -

I need a bridesmaid dress altered for a June 26th wedding.  I had a recommendation for someone named Ursula, but she booked.  Any other recs?

TIA, ladies!

Re: Staten Island seamstress recs

  • I used to have a good seamstress but she seems to have disappeared.

My DH got a suit tailored at the dry cleaner on the corner of Arthur Kill Rd. and Arden Ave.  in the shopping center next to the gas station.  The unique lounge is in the same lot.  I believe he was happy with them.

  • thank you!

  • I used the same disappearing seamstress as Cyndi.  I know it's on the other side of the island, but Manor Tailor is supposed to be really good.  They took in my SILs dress from a size 10 to a size 4 and you never would have known it.  I think Marie427 went to them with her wedding dress.

  • Our dry cleaners does an awesome job. My husband's gotten his suit altered there and I get all my clothes hemmed there. I've gotten one of my bridesmaid dresses taken in also. I can't remember the name if it. But it's in that shopping plaza on richmond and victory.
