Any recommendations would be helpful. My DH and I want to go there for our 1 year anniversary coming up in June. TIA
Re: Traverse City Recs
Wine tasting! Our favorites are Chateau Chantal and Chateau Grand Traverse, both on Old Mission Peninsula. Both have B&Bs, but we've never stayed there. We don't know much about the wineries on Leelanau Peninsula, other than there are a bunch.
Downtown is fun and easy to navigate. Petoskey is an easy day trip. The Sleeping Bear Dunes are kind of a big thing.
We had our honeymoon and 1st anniversary there, and just got back from the Bayshore Marathon this weekend. Love it up there!

I've stayed at the Bayshore and Park Place hotels, and both were very nice. Park Place is right downtown.
I agree with pp, Old Mission Peninsula wine tasting is a blast - and free!!!
I would recommend the Apache Trout Grill for a place to get dinner.
For drinks (bar scene), I'd recommend Union Street or the Loading Dock.
Have fun!
Amical is a great restaurant. We have stayed at the Grand Traverse Resort and like it. The Cherry Stop is a fun place to visit--they have a wine bar inside. I love The Green House Cafe for breakfast or lunch.
Ditto pp about Old Mission peninsula. Leelanau peninsula is great, too. I love Shady Lane and L.Mawby (all sparkling wines). Black Star Farms is also really nice; WendyGR visits there often I believe.
Have fun! Love the TC area.
Amical has a gluten-free menu
