why is it...

...that when I'm home on the weekend with DH, even when we're not running around busy, I don't actually get super hungry.  But I come back to work and at 10am my stomach is actually growling???

I think work is bad for my weight. :)  I lost a few pounds this weekend because I didn't eat so much (and probably also from working on our house).  And it's not a difference in breakfast- I had the same thing this weekend as I do at work (a Special K bar).

Re: why is it...

  • I noticed the same thing when we were in Europe. We ate three small meals a day and that was it and I was never hungry. When I went back to work I was back to my old eating habits. Wierd.
  • I have the same issue.  I dont snack at much when I am home as I do when I am at work.  I am busy at work too.
  • I asked tj this just a couple weeks ago. Weekdays, I eat special k certail around 6am and by 930 I'm starrrrving. Eat lunch at 12 and I'm starrrrving by dinner.

Weekends, I'll sleep in.. eat something small around 11am. Then not again till dinner with NO problems! I think using all this brain power is using up more energy and making me hungry. ;-) lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!
  • I'm the same way!

I think that at work I think about eating more--like sometimes I count down until my next break where I can eat, haha.  So I'm just thinking about food more.

  • i just read about this the other day while researching for my new diet.. apparently "being exposed to florescent lights should be avoided or eliminated. florescent lighting causes chemical reactions in the brain that product fatigue and depression. this leads to food cravings. florescent lighting also negatively affects the cells of the body, suppressing the immune system and lowering the metabolism."

i don't know if there's much truth to this or not, but i know i work under florescent lights, and i usually eat like a cow!
